Perhaps, but not having served in the military, I can only surmise that they are duty-bound to respect the Office, despite the sniveling little snot-ball currently occupying it.

I think that the 'silent-treatment' is effective yet respectful. Remember that the men & women of our military are of a far more adult caliber than the Infant-President.

When they extend the courtesy to listen to him then they can rightfully claim his in return.
