When I was i High School in 1959 we had a teacher who drove a Fiat 850

Sure that wasn't '69? According to Wikipedia the 850 was produced between 1964 and 1973.

A friend of mine had an 850 sedan in the late 60's.

I graduated in 1960 so I guess it wasnt an 850. I know it was a really small car and 4 or 5 of us could lift the thing and push it around.

I own a fiat 850 convertible today.

It did an 1/8th mile wheelie with bug power (never on the street).

It's currently gutted in preparation of putting the drive train of a 1st gen Eclipse turbo into it (about 300 ponies, mid engine, AWD: flipping the transfer case).

Kind of a redneck Atom.

For fun search youtube.com for 'smart car Hayabusa'.

I want one of those too.
