Absolutely and what is more complicated is the other government bodies linked to it but not necessarily part of it.
They all have different rules.
There are ways of getting round things that you find over the years one is seeing a specialist/consultant privately and then him putting you up the list under the NHS for further treatment, he conveniently forgets the first appointment was private.
The worse thing I think is though if you are being treated and you know a different form of treatment would be better but if it not authorised by NICE you cannot have it and if you pay for it then you would have to pay for the rest of your treatment for this condition.
Your post captures exactly why I (and so many others) don’t want a government run plan here.
I cannot imagine a health care system with the same efficiency as our Department of Motor Works. They are also heartless, and God help you if you lose your cool and bless one of them out!
