A Harlem restaurant-supply store owner unleashed a round of shotgun blasts on a gang of four robbers Thursday afternoon, killing two of them, police said.

The shooting happened at about 3:10 p.m. at The Kaplan Brothers’ Blue Flame, at 523 West 125th Street, near Amsterdam Avenue, according to cops.

One man died at the scene and the another died at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Residents said they were surprised at the robbery the store is not known as a cash business.

Webley Fosbery. It was mentioned in the movie, "Maltese Falcon" but like all movies it seems they had to get something wrong which in this case was the caliber. The revolver was never made in .45.

As you can tell by the grooves, the revolver automatically set up the next round to be fired.

Thanks for the pic of the Mataba... it looks pretty interesting; I’d guess about a .38 cal round there.

Wikipedia said that the following variants are .357 Magnum (which are the same caliber as the .38):
Defense - 4” barrel, .357-Magnum
Dynamic Sportiva - either 5” or 6” barrel, .357-Magnum

Interesting that you got Superman on your superhero quiz.
I got Green Lantern. :)

The Mateba was chambered in .38 Special/.357 Magnum, .44 Special/.44 Magnum, and .45 Colt/.454 Casull.

The barrel and shroud is removeable by a front threaded nut so different lengths can be used. Some models use a compensator as the nut.

Betty is posing with a .357 magnum since the bullets are almost even with the end of the cylinder.
