Dianne Feinstein being targeted
tedw

Posted on 08/11/2009 1:17:02 PM PDT by tedw

I received the following e-mail from Organizing for America (The Presidents “grassroots” organization). As you can see they are attempting to pressure Dianne Feinstein into supporting their socialist/Marxist health care agenda. Dianne Feinstein has said:

“(07-24) 04:00 PDT Washington - -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Thursday she was not persuaded by President Obama's news conference Wednesday on health care, saying she is leery of expanding access to insurance unless costs are controlled.”Read more: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article/article?f=/c/a/2009/07/23/MN4N18U122.DTL#ixzz0NivoUgCQ

Frankly, Senator Dianne Feinstein is not my favorite person, but it appears she is willing to not go along with her party on this. I think it is appropriate we show her a little support. Please consider calling her Office and urge her not to vote for a socialized medicine program that taxpayers cant afford. You can be sure the Comrads at Organizing for America will be doing the exact opposite. A strategic phone call from you to her office might do a lot of good right now. Office info. below. Please feel free to call or write the office nearest you, or you can visit one of the offices between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. We are here to serve you.

Here is the e-mail from Organizing for America:

ted --

Thanks for answering the President's call to support health insurance reform.

All throughout August, our members of Congress are back in town. Insurance companies and partisan attack groups are stirring up fear with false rumors about the President's plan, and it's extremely important that folks like you speak up now.

So we've cooked up an easy, powerful way for you to make a big impression: Office Visits for Health Reform.

All this week, OFA members like you will be stopping by local congressional offices to show our support for insurance reform. You can have a quick conversation with the local staff, tell your personal story, or even just drop off a customized flyer and say that reform matters to you.

We'll provide everything you need: the address, phone number, and open hours for the office, information about how the health care crisis affects your state for you to drop off (with the option of adding your personal story), and a step-by-step guide for your visit.

According to our records, you live near Sen. Dianne Feinstein's office in San Diego, CA.

Sign up now to visit Sen. Dianne Feinstein's office in San Diego this week.

(Not your representative, or think there might be another office that's easier for you to get to? Click here to find a different office.)

As you've probably seen in the news, special interest attack groups are stirring up partisan mobs with lies about health reform, and it's getting ugly. Across the country, members of Congress who support reform are being shouted down, physically assaulted, hung in effigy, and receiving death threats. We can't let extremists hijack this debate, or confuse Congress about where the people stand.

Office Visits for Health Reform are our chance to show that the vast majority of American voters know that the cost of inaction is too high to bear, and strongly support passing health reform in 2009.

Don't worry if you've never done anything like this before. The congressional staff is there to listen, and your opinion as a constituent matters a lot. And if you bring a friend, you'll have more fun and make an even greater impact.

Wherever you live, these visits matter: Many representatives are pushing hard toward reform, and they are taking a lot of heat from special interests. They deserve our thanks and need our support to continue the fight. But those who are still putting insurance companies and partisan point-scoring ahead of their constituents must know that voters are watching -- and that we expect better.

Earlier this week, the President wrote that "this is the moment our movement was built for" and asked us all to commit to join at least one event this month. This is the way to answer that call, and rise to the challenge of this moment together.

Thank you for going the extra mile when it matters the most,

Mitch

The fact that Obama’s political brownshirts are targetting members of his own party cannot sit well with those being targetted. DiFi is a liberal, but apparently not sufficiently Marxist for Obama on healthcare.

...unless costs are controlled.

umm, that part's covered, m'am. In fact, that's the whole point: by establishing command-and-control medical "care," costs will be controlled, by all the usual methods (profiling, statistical analysis, coercion, marginalization, and finally, "end of life counseling."

Feinstein is a past mistress of the old soft shoe routine in which she publicly agonizes whether conservative values will be maintained but ultimately after much soul-searching votes left. Sort of like the kabuki dance that Lindsey Graham did over justice Sonia Sotomayor.

DiFi is probably as close to a thinking person as the RATS have in the Senate.
She's also the easiest to manipulate with $$$ for California.

She is a thinking person. I called her office and thanked her for taking the time to think through this bill. I mentioned that I would NOT vote for her if she supported it, but that I had before (when I was a lib) and really appreciated her stance on this.

I encourage others to do the same.

I hope some Dems begin to peel off, but it seems I recall Feinstein talking good sense before on some issues, only to fall in line when crucial votes came to the floor.

Maybe she means it now.

Her office staff has always been nothing but polite when I’ve called. They’ve listened, they’ve engaged in the conversation as much as they’re “allowed” to.

I agree that’s she’s probably the ONLY one out here who’d maybe kinda be a hope.

However. That said. She’ll still vote her party line when the rubber meets the road.......

California U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein is in hiding

I spoke with Diane Feinstein's scheduler this morning.

She said Senator Feinstein has decided not to have any healthcare town hall meetings during the month of August.

Asked if the senator would have any public meetings of any sort during the recess, she indicated there would be none.

The scheduler suggested attending a "Constituent Breakfast" on Thursday mornings ... in Washington, D.C. after Sen. Feinstein returns from the August break.

So Californians have to fly to Washington, D. C. after the August recess, if they want to attend a public meeting with Senator Feinstein?

Asked about where information could be found regarding other events the senator planned to attend here in California, the scheduler said she believed the senator's schedule is not publicized.

Conclusion: I think she's hiding.

“Conclusion: I think she’s hiding.”

Stevie Wonder would probably be able to find his Easter eggs before we see Feinstein again, especially before September...Just saying...
