Syria is drying up....Euphrates River...

Syria is experiencing an economic holocaust. There is no other way to describe what the Syrian regime is so much trying to hide.

The country is drying up, and no less than 250,000 farmers were forced in the past three years to abandon their land and migrate to the large cities. They live in tents there, completely neglected by the regime. These figures appeared in a special study undertaken by the United Nations and published on the al-Arabiya website.

The immense Euphrates River, Syria’s main source of water, is drying up.

The Turks are stopping its water in their territory, so that Syria and Iraq are receiving a declining portion of the water. Within about 10 years, the river is expected to dry up completely outside Turkish territory. Today already, it reaches Syria with contaminated water and therefore its fish, an important source of livelihood, is becoming extinct.

As result of the drought that had been plaguing Syria for several years now, another important Syrian water source, the Aasi (Orontes) River, is drying up as well. Its water is becoming saltier and increasingly contaminated, and its fish are dying off. And without fish, there is no livelihood. Entire villages fed by its waters for hundreds of years are simply being deserted.

Ground water in the country had reached such nadir that it is no longer possible to use the roughly 420,000 illegal wells dug by residents over the years. If there is no water, there is no agriculture; people proceed to leave the village and move to the city. As there is no work there either, the distress is terrible and political pressures builds up.

Many of the farmers leaving their villages are Kurd, which makes the problem an ethnic one. The Kurdish refugees accuse the regime of doing nothing for them. For several years now they have been living in thousands of tents near the big cities without being addressed. REVELATION: 16-12. The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

The signs were seen countless times in history... everytime they were wrong. I don't see why this is any different today.

= = = =

What a silly, tiresome, flimsy,

CONTEXTUALLY

unfounded,

groundless,

wholesale false

straw dog.

NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY HAVE A NUMBER OF BIBLICALLY PREDICTED CRITERIA BEEN TRUE FOR THE END TIMES AS ARE TRUE NOW. NEVER. NOT ONCE.

1. Israel set the prophetic clock racing forward with it's founding again in a day precisely as predicted in Scripture . . . in 1948.

2. However, even in the 1700's and 1800's there were Bible scholars who predicted Israel's return as well as Russia et al's rise against modern Israel. They were right, of course.

3. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY has there been a way for the 2 WITNESSES' bodies to lie in the streets of Jerusalem as predicted in Bible prophecy, for 3 days WHILE THE WHOLE WORLD SEES THEM LYING THERE DEAD IN THOSE MODERN JERUSALEM STREETS--FOR 3 DAYS.

4. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY has there been a way for the MARK OF THE BEAST to be part of a global computer technology such that the Biblical prediction is now technically possible--that without it, folks will not be ABLE to buy or sell without the chip implant.

5. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY has a true global government been remotely this close--as Biblically predicted.

6. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY has knowledge INCREASED SO GEOMETRICALLY AND SPREAD SO WIDELY OVER THE WHOLE GLOBE--as Biblically predicted.

7. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY has travel been so fast and so wide-spread for so many over the whole globe as predicted in Scripture.

8. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY have there been SO MANY, SO DRAMATIC AND SO DIVERSE a set of 'signs in the heavens' as predicted in Scripture.

9. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY HAS Jerusalem been a burden around the neck of the nations of the whole world as predicted in Scripture.

10. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY have the precise set of nations lined up against Israel with the means to do just what Scripture describes them as trying to do with the RECONSTITUTED ISRAEL.

11. NEVER BEFORE IN HISTORY did any people group widely dispersed [and NONE WERE AS widely dispersed as the children of Jacob] reconstitute their homeland AND SPEAK THEIR ANCIENT TONGUE as the national language--AS PREDICTED in Scripture--ever--much less after 2,000 years.

12. NEVER BEFORE IN RECORDED HISTORY have we built 'our nests' apparently amongst the stars . . . as predicted in Scripture.

So, if pontificating embarrassingly absurd assertions is a fun hobby--go ahead--great style.

However, if being based in reality and increasing survival options and skills because of a more solid base in reality is a concern, perhaps an adjustment in perspective is more than warranted.

And that's just a brief list off the top of my noggin.

"That’s not as obvious and pedantic as it..."

I enjoy archaic words. I’ve helped repopularize “bloviate” and “speechify,” among others.

But, “pedantic” does not qualify as archaic. You just have a poor vocabulary.

Now, on to “poltroon,” lol.

Still a future event. If this is the event spoken of in Prophecy, then the Church Age is over, the Restrainer removed, and we no longer have an indwelling Holy Spirit.

I agree it will be a literal event, but also remember a demonic army will emanate from beneath the Euphrates.

IMHO, there might be a stronger likelihood of those NWO types who do not understand Prophecy, to grasp at straws, and attempt to make worldly power plays when some bit of parallel event occurs, in an attempt to counterfeit His Plan.

My late paternal grandmother had an excellent, if slightly unmodern, vocabulary. She was extremely well-read, in a southern, genteel po’ kind of way.

Her favorite was “addlepated.” As in, “addlepated nincompoop.”

If ever there was a time to revive that one, it’s now, we have an entire political class filled with them.

I’ve never used “addlepated”, but I have used “twitterpated”. It seems a good term to describe Chris Matthews when he starts talking about 0.

"I’ve been to the source of the Mississippi (in Minnesota), a small spring flowing out of the ground."

Lake Itasca is no small spring.

I’ve been there and was told the spring flowing out of the ground on the northern part of the lake, was the source of the Mississippi. (we walked across where it flowed into the lake.) Is it the only spring/source? I doubt it.

How did you get over to that part? We were at the headwaters recently but I didn't see anything about how the lake was fed.

Awesome area but the mosquitoes were horrible.

Same way that red-headed girl in the video did it. (seems like it was somewhat shallower at the time)

They do have some vicious ‘squiters.
