Disruptions drown out debate at health care meetings (WE MUST STOP THE COMMUNIST TAKEOVER!)
cnn ^ | 8/10/2009 | cnn

The battle raging over President Obama's health care plan has spread from across the aisles in Congress to across the country.

Senators this week joined their colleagues from the House at town hall meetings as they spent their August recess in their home districts.

But disruptive protests are turning town hall meetings into shouting matches and drowning out discussion over what is and isn't in health care plans in the House and Senate.

Videos of the protests have been circulating on the Internet, showing raucous crowds heckling their congressmen, and carrying posters with devil horns drawn on lawmakers' heads, swastikas or Obama with Adolf Hitler's mustache.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, who had a town hall meeting disrupted by angry protesters earlier this month, said he had never experienced such emotion in his 15 years of holding such forums.

Democratic Rep. Brad Miller of North Carolina even had a death threat phoned into his office. A caller said that if Miller supported Obama's plan, it could cost him his life, Miller told CNN.

"Of course we want a full debate. Of course we want people who have dissenting views from the administration and Congress to have a full hearing. But that's not what this is about. That's not the intent of most of these people. It's not the way the press is covering it," Mark Halperin, editor-at-large and senior political analyst for TIME magazine, said on CNN's "Reliable Sources."

Really, this should be a question of management abilities. Look at the debt and inefficiency of every government program. They have not earned the job; they will destroy the health care system.

“Democratic Rep. Brad Miller of North Carolina even had a death threat phoned into his office. A caller said that if Miller supported Obama’s plan, it could cost him his life, Miller told CNN.”

That death threat is coming from the socialists who want to pass this monstrosity, not from the caller.

Just listen to the language they use to describe people like you and me:

“Disruptive”
“Shouting matches”
“Drowning out discussion”
“raucous”
“heckling their congressmen”
“disrupted by angry protesters”

Once upon a time, they considered dissent patriotic, not hooliganish.

And where was all this angst CNN when these images were being used about GW Bush?

Hypocritical frauds pretending to be "journalists"

Note to CNN. Has the Congressman filed a police report about this "death threat"?

I suspect that the Congressman is lying OR the caller was a Union paid provocateur

Sorry lying Left, only swastikas I’ve seen in photos are the ones CROSSED OFF. Which part of that don’t you understand, it’s even a logo/graphic with no writing that you might not get.

Ummm.... that guy Eric Holder DOES have very close to a Hitler mustache, imho.... so apparently it’s ok to hire people like that but not ok for people to carry signs about our future.

I bet it was an genuine caller warning Miller that the bill may come to bite him in the ass when he’s deemed too old and useless to get his ration of medical needs—and Miller is deliberately misrepresenting this person.

Yes, yes yes. If a Congressman has a death threat, he SHOULD report this to the police. If he did, then there is a police report, which should be easy to obtain. If he didn’t report this, then he’s lying. PERIOD!

A good citizen knows his place, and breathlessly awaits every syllable emanating from the mouth of our dear leader, who knows what's best for us and is wise beyond compare.

A bad citizen dares to speak up and disagree. Shame on him!
How un-American and Nazi-like!

Those are the ground rules for the health care debate.

Distortions, lies, and misrepresentations are all tools of the trade for Liberals with an agenda. In advancing their goals, they often take the experience of a small group, however unrepresentative it may be, and project it to the population they desire to influence.

I decided to try their method in looking at the Health Care Reform Legislation. I first looked at the United States Senate, which is composed of 100 members. I found that four, Senators Tim Johnson, Robert Byrd, Ted Kennedy, and Arlen Specter are of such age or had conditions so severe that they would likely not have qualified for life sustaining treatment under the health care reform legislation. Taking this 4 percent of the study group and extrapolating to the general population of roughly 305 million, I got the following headlines.

HEALTH BILL SUPPORTERS FOR DEATH OF OVER 12 MILLION AMERICANS

STUDY SHOWS OVER 12 MILLION USELESS DEATHS UNDER HEALTH REFORM BILL

ARE YOU ONE OF THE 12 MILLION PROJECTED TO DIE UNDER HEALTH BILL

ALMOST 13 MILLION TO DIE UNDER HEALTH REFORM BILL

The AP, CNN, MSNBC or New York Times is free to use any of these headlines without payment or attribution.

If we had a national news media worth the title they claim as journalists, all of them would be making it clear what is actually going on at these town hall meetings. Thank God for the ones who are doing their job.

I just read a thread posted here at FR about a Dem couple, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cornish, who were on Cavuto telling what had actually happened at the Dingell town hall meeting.

They said union thugs were brought in first to take up the front four rows and crowd everyone else to the back of the room. When anyone at the back would try to ask a question they would chant and shout them down. Finally, the man, with his son handicapped with Cerebral Palsy, made his way to the front of the room with his son in his wheelchair in order to speak to Dingell.

The reason he was talking loud and in the tone he was using was because of everything that was going on there. But, who does Dingell blame, and who does the State-Run Media blame for "disrupting" the meeting??? I don't have to tell you.

That man's family received a death threat the night that aired on television.

The Dem couple on Cavuto also said that they saw a guy carrying a swastika sign outside, trying to get media attention. When the cameras disappeared he ditched his sign and began handing out Dingell re-election material.

***”The call to the D.C. office was, ‘Miller could lose his life over this,’” said Canipe. “Our staffer took it so seriously, he confirmed what the guy was saying. He said, ‘Sir is that a threat?’ and at that time our staffer was getting the phone number off caller ID and turning it over to the Capitol Police.”***

This appears to be an in-house attack in Oct, since ACORN has not real miney, except for our taxpayer dollar grants. It must be a plan to sabatoge the Social Security Check system to punish seniors for speaking out, and some ACORN member gov’t employee is the culprit, or some gov’t hacker...send this to all the conservative Attorney Generals and Governors so they can be aware of what is planned:

Nah, cause Miller will be on the special congressional health plan the rest of his life. Not subject to the planthe little people would have.
