..but she's in critical conditon, hospitalized with a stroke and I doubt we will ever know.
He's the remnant...one of the few left standing
...... who get it, fight for it and secure it.
Blue voters in NJ are an interesting lot. They usually vote reliably liberal; however, they do NOT like being lied to or getting screwed over. When that happens, they turn on each other with (electoral) savagery not usually seen in other states.
The 3rd District seems to be moderate-right leaning. I don’t know if Adler was considered a blue dog. I’ve read that he endorsed obama in the primaries, so I don’t see him as someone I would vote for. Whether he intends to follow through or will change his mind remains to be seen.
I agree. Please contact him and let him know you've read that he is voting against the bill and that you intend to hold him to his word. I'll do the same.
People are surprised to learn ... my congressman, Scott Garrett (NJ-5) is not only the best rep from this state, but also one of the most reliable conservatives in the entire Congress.
Excellent. Maybe others will follow suit. My conressman is Pallone - I will be going to his meeting next weekend. I don’t think he’s as brave as Adler though.
I think you are thinking of Jerrold Nadler, who made Jabba the Hutt look thin!
People here should write to Adler expressing their gratitude and their approval. We tend to communicate with pols only when we disagree. They need support when we agree, too.
Exactly WHERE was this meeting? I called his office in Washington to get clarification on his position because only last week I was told he was undecided and this morning I was told he was “undecided”
So what is the truth?
Adler’s meeting in Cherry Hill, NJ was held in a building on the municipal campus at 820 Mercer Street. The meeting started at 11:00AM and was scheduled to end at noon, however Adler stayed later to answer a few more questions before going to his next meeting in Riverside, NJ.
Here is a link from Adler’s web page specifying the date, time, and location

I claim the right to speak plainly about the people of NJ since I have lived 45 years in the State. In a word the are unconscious. There is neither rhyme nor reason to their thinking when it comes to installing public officials in office except if there is a D before the name they vote for them.
The single biggest complaint and most discussed issue in NJ is taxes. They’re to high, both RE and sales tax ( the income tax is creeping up also. There is a RE tax rebate program which has been around for awhile and is meant to reduce the overall cost of these taxes by as much as 20% of the tax bill, not to exceed $1200.00. This served to somewhat mitigate the complaints from 100% complaining to only 60% or so. Now these rebates are being slashed to all but senors. Seniors are untouchable here because they vote in great numbers and the libs are afraid of them, as they are of any group voting as a block (against them) in great numbers as they would on this issue.
When I question my neighbors about why they keep voting in Democrats and then complaining when their taxes go up again, they have no answer except something along the lines of “what else can we do?”. The also have no answer when I say it shows little intelligence to keep voting against ones own self interests and when I suggest they work towards putting a Republican who has promised to cut taxes AND spending, in office, they look at me like I have 3 heads. I explain that if they do not do as promised then simply throw them out and go back to voting democrat. LOL, no chance. It is as if they believe a republican in office would do something awful, like perhaps take NJ to war or something. These are narrow minded brainwashed people in the extreme and they have succeeded in quieting the Conservatives there are in NJ (mostly South Jersey). nay are loath to even admit they are Rep and I only find out after knowing them for a while and after they listen to me plainly state my reasons this State is in such trouble. they know I am a conservative anyway because I still have the Bush/Cheney sticker on my truck. I have been told at different times I am “very brave” for leaving it on and “Crazy” for leaving it on. It will stay on as long as i have the truck.
Anyway there is a bit of hope since Corzine seems to be universally hated throughout the State and even Obama has lost a lot of his luster judging by the lackluster excuses now being made for his awful 1st 7 months.
It’s great to see a democrat doing not just the right thing, but what his constituents want!
He may NOT be doing the right thing. I’ve heard from others here that they have called his office and have been informed that Adler is undecided, which runs counter to what he clearly stated time and again at his meeting.
He could be covering his tail, telling his constituents one thing and claiming another when pressed to re-affirm his stance.
we should welcome allies wherever we can find. If he really is voting against it.
Harvard.
* Adler co-sponsored a bill that would expand voting rights for military personnel and New Jersey citizens overseas to include state and local elections. The bill was signed into law
* Adler was co-sponsor of the New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act, enacted in 2006, which banned smoking in almost all public places.[26] Adler is one of three co-sponsors of a Senate bill submitted in 2008 that would extend the smoking ban to casinos and simulcasting facilities, which had been exempted in the earlier version of the ban.[27]
I am so proud of my fellow Americans who are standing up to these tyrants and forcing them to confront the facts.
There may be hope for this country after all.
A dog AND a gun.........
LOL! Yes this is what I had always heard. S. NJ has the best tomatoes in the world.
