IMO, Kanjorski displayed a distinct tone of condescension and disdain at those who speak up against the Health Care plan. For those who don't know, he is a Rep from Northeast PA.

He sounds like a nut to me.

"The US is 29 out of 30 countries in the world in infant mortality
"
This is a stat that the proponents keep putting out there. Sometimes the quote is that the US is 7th in infant mortality, so obviously they can't get their number straight. In any event, I'm not sure this is a credible number. I think there is more to this statistic then the proponents are willing to reveal.

He said 29 out of 30 INDUSTRIALIZED countries; just wanted to clarify that, although I’m not sure which the other 29 countries are.

Oh it’s about as credible as something like 50 million of the people in the United States are uncovered by any type of health care insurance. For months the number that’s been bandied about was 47 million. In an article in the local Sunday paper today, the number suddenly jumped to “48 million” and by evening it’s “50 million”???

When the swine flu "pandemic" was first all the rage, I was listening to the enemy radio station (progressive radio) in Denver. For all of my 20 minute commute to work, the insipid lib a##$ole harped on how this coming "epidemic" was the perfect example of why we need socialized health care.
His best quote (according to him) was that you wouldn't want your neighbors kids (uninsured of course) infecting your perfect lib child at school. "Even though we can ALL afford health insurance, the ones who can't will need it the most and our perfect kids will thus be infected by the great hordes of unwashed" Or some such crap.

1. I may believe that number if I see a credible source backing it up. (I’m not planning on that ever happening)
2. The number jumping to 50 million will be explained as those who have lost their jobs, and are now uninsured.
3. How many of these 50 million “here in America” are legal citizens?
4. How many are uninsured by choice?

Unless you’re critically ill, or are in a category placing you at risk that you would require Tamiflu, a doctor’s visit isn’t going to help. So, whether you are insured or not, many will not NEED treatment by a health professional. http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/sick.htm

Of course not. However, there was a person who thought that the government SHOULD provide healthcare to give the private insurers “competition”.

"We're not going to talk about 'Healthcare Reform', because you aren't going to listen. We need a debate, so we're not going to talk about it."
Makes sense to me.
These suddenly sensitive Democrats asking for a "debate" are just liars. They want no debate. They want to slam this power grab through Congress before the People can find out whats in it. Their argument is "Shut Up!"

-Americans do not have the best health care in the world. That is just not true, its not true at all
Yeah. I know I'd much rather get my health care in Rwanda, though I'm not as jealous about it as Nancy Snyderman. /sarc
SNYDERMAN: One other sort of tough question.
Some experts this weekend have said we are looking at class warfare in the United States and you have to say those words if we're going to move forward. Would you agree with that?
ROBINSON: As somebody who works in this country but as a guest, if you like, I'll leave it others to put it in sharper terms. What I would like to suggest from a global health perspective is look at what some of the very poorest countries have done.
Rwanda, a post-genocide country, has 90% health insurance cover. I was there last September and I was there in March --
SNYDERMAN:
You're making me jealous.
ROBINSON: Doesn't it?

But if only the uninsured spread it, then he shouldn’t be so worried if he and his kids are insured, eh? Who knew?

My point was that long ago, when the swine flu first broke out in Mexico, liberals were even then, jumping on it as an example to promote socialized medicine. I have been wondering how long it would take that twisted idea to be made into talking points for Democrat congress scum.
Your post confirmed my suspicion, that the flu, would indeed be used as a tool. I’ll call it the liberal version of FEAR TACTICS.
