US Rep. Tsongas (Massachusetts) meeting on Obama health care proposal in Chelmsford, Mass Aug. 8, 2009. Rep. Tsongas stated the abortion would not be covered under the proposed plan because of the Hyde Amendment prohibiting the use of public funds for the procedure. She also stated that illegal aliens would not be covered. Many reports on the proposed plan say otherwise.
800 people showed up for the meeting but only 400 were allowed in the hall.
She is a liar. It is already true in Mass under

People are going to townhall meetings that have never done a political action in their lives! Obozo and Congress have awakened a giant (of citizens ) who at least now are taking a second look at their representatives and maybe for the first time seeing them exposed as power hungry liars and morons!
Perhaps she is not lying. I doubt she knows what is in the bill.

One of the fired-up women in one of the townhall meetings got it exactly right: “This bill has nothing to do with health and it has nothing to do with care.”
And don't forget that their party is the National Democrats.
Contrast to "Bush lied-people died".
Bush did everything he could to determine the ground truth and report it to the American people. He was wrong, (even Saddam thought he had WMDs, we were supposed to know better than him???) but did Bush lie? No rational person would say so.
On the left hand, Tsongas is willfully ignorant. It's not like she didn't expect any questions about the health care bill, yet she still didn't study for the exam.

No where in the bill does it say that abortion is not covered. When Republicans tried to attached an amendment to the bill to make sure abortions weren't covered RATS refused to allow it. That means it is up to the government to interpret the language for themselves. I think we all know how that will turn out.
There is also nothing to stop illegals from being covered as the bill is written now.
This is how they are getting by with saying abortions and illegals aren't covered NOW. That's because the way the bill is written NOTHING is allowed or disallowed. That will be decided by the GOVERNMENT once the bill is passed.
We aren't as stupid as they think! If this bill is passed it will be up to the OBAMA TEAM to decide the details of the plan. If that isn't scary nothing is!
I don't want the OBAMA TEAM running my bath water much less MY LIFE especially after they can't even run 'cash for clunkers', the car companies, create just ONE JOB, banks, etc.
I would rather Obama stick to picking out dogs for his kids! It only took him six months to find one. That should keep him busy for the rest of his term.
