“The report says the protest was peaceful, no one from the SEIU showed”

That’s why it was peaceful.

I am glad the protest went well with no violence. I figured the union thugs would not show up. They probably don’t get paid to “work” on Saturdays..lol

The SEIU will get plenty of beers at the White House.

Its gone viral...

I hope it stays up long enough for the news cycle starting Monday.

Yep. This reinforces how important it is to have video rolling the entire time at these event. These goons have no qualms about lying through their teeth. The unfortunate thing is that even with video the MSM will report as fits their intended narrative.

Liberals protest to get something from government.

Conservatives protest to keep government from taking something.

Don’t waste time with asking for an apology. File a civil rights lawsuit against the unions, “community organizers” and the socialist politicians involved regarding violation of the First Amendment rights to peacably assemble and petition the government. Do legal discovery on the goon squads and how they are controlled by the Obama socialists. Make results into a documentary and put it on TV / YouTube.

“McCowan said he suffered a dislocated shoulder.”

Saw this on the videotape. The police show up, and this guy starts holding his shoulder. It’s on the tape, if any attorneys are interested.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has published their first article on today's action:

A protest held by the "Tea Party" coalition today outside the offices of the Service Employees Union International drew about 200 people, but did not devolve into physical clashes -- and even saw moments of civility between opponents in the swelling national debate over healthcare reform.

SNIP

Only a few supporters of the president's plan showed up, including a trio of students. "In the beginning we were being shouted down," said Michael Browning, a student at Washington University. "But in the end we had a civil conversation. We even shook hands."

Well fancy that. No union goons, no violence.

“Any names taken r.e. the thugs who assaulted one freedom-loving citizen? Any arrests? Prosecution?”

From the local rag:

St. Louis County police did not release the names of the people arrested outside Bernard Middle School on Thursday night but provided the following details:

— Two men were arrested for misdemeanor assault for allegedly punching, pushing and holding a man who was handing out American flags and fliers outside the school.

— One woman was arrested for misdemeanor assault and destruction of property for allegedly pushing another woman who was recording the events on her cell phone, then grabbing the phone and breaking it.

— One woman was arrested for interference and resisting arrest. One officer used pepper spray on the woman, police said, when she did not comply with officers’ demands. That woman “just would not leave,” when asked by officers to back away from the scuffles, said spokesman Rick Eckhard said. She also passively resisted when an officer tried to handcuff her, he said.

— One man was arrested for peace disturbance when he entered a circle of people who had gathered near the pepper-sprayed woman and refused to comply with officers’ demands to leave.

— Post-Dispatch reporter Jake Wagman also was arrested for allegedly interfering.

No charges have actually been filed yet. Eckhard said police officials will meet with the St. Louis County counselor’s office next week to determine if charges will be pursued. All those arrested were booked into the St. Louis County jail overnight and released.

I would bet a Case Of Guinness Extra Stout that the woman mentioned above is the "Camera Slapper" in this video: Are you paying attention now?

And one individual claims he was beaten by members of the SEIU. There were six arrests.

The St. Louis Tea Party organized the rally Saturday, and Ken Gladney, who says he was the target of the attack, was there in a wheelchair.

It's interesting how video and eyewitness evidence apparently isn't enough proof to print a simple declarative statement that Gladney was actually beaten rather than claiming and saying that he was beaten.

The dude in the SEIU tee shirt who was holding his shoulder when the police came was about 6’2” and 260 pounds. Is he sure someone jumped him from behind?

The SEIU is controllable, but there are plenty of groups out there who are not. The New Black Panthers, e.g. The White House can tell the SEIU to jump and they’ll respond, “How high?”, but other groups have their own goals. These are the groups to be feared and the WH exhortation to hit back hard might just be the match that lights a powder keg.

Very amateur and stupid move by the WH and if anything more bad happens, even if they have no direct connection to it, the link will have been made in people’s minds. That’s why the SEIU has been called off. The WH doesn’t want to take the blame for any copycats.
