A large part of the American public likes to sit in the center of politics and in doing so, typically don’t follow Washington’s daily play-by-play. Rather, while those of us who are obsessed with elections and politics in general, 24/7 discuss and sift through poll numbers, upcoming races and the like, no matter when the next election, most Americans are content with living their lives and most times only follow politics right prior to an upcoming election. And regardless of party, most Americans find themselves supporting the man who is president, if not his policies, in the name of civility and expectation.
In 2008, following nearly eight years of Republican control in Washington, two wars being fought abroad that many had grown tired of, and a weakening U.S. economy, the majority of Americans tired of “business as usual,” looked beyond right vs. left and went to the polls and voted for change, as they often do. We all know of everyday Americans that voted for Barack Obama because the guy was different, his message was one that electrified the populous, and his smile made many feel like better days would be ahead with him in the White House. Never mind, that the guy was inexperienced, followed the likes of Reverend Wright, or that he had never run a business, successful or otherwise. No, in 2008, Obama was elected because no matter what stories were fully out there for the public to consume that would have normally made one pause and say no to the guy, after growing tired of Bush-Clinton-Bush and possibly more Clinton, the majority took the gamble with a guy from Chicago.
But an increasing number of Americans have realized that what they thought they bought in November was not what they thought, nor what they wanted. Sure, many everyday American gave the Democrats a pass when the stimulus was passed, because they had confidence that no matter the details, the plan would help make America run again. Next, came cap and trade but again, for most Americans, the devil in the details meant very little. But then came health care and on this, the silence majority has awaken.
The majority of Americans do not want, nor do they support a complete government takeover of our nation’s health care system. And on this, they have finally realized what is at stake and how out of the main stream our president is when it comes to not just health care, but everything else.
What is happening in small towns and even large cities in America is an uncoordinated uprising of everyday Americans that regardless of party are telling our nation’s leaders that government-run health care is not the answer.
And on that, the silent majority in this country is silent no more.
Buyers remorse.
No more GWB’s big government compassionate conservatism. No more McCains

On to Washington!
The sad thing is the GOP is on the threshold to win big victories but if there is one party than can screw it up it’s the GOP
Just a thought. I have always thought that the last two Democrats succeeded to the WH through other than legitimate means (read: voter fraud). Just a gut feeling, maybe I am being cynical....
In any case and whether or not I am correct, the response you are seeing from the true grass roots across the country IS the desperate reaction of people who feel they are without legitimate representation. RIGHT NOW the flap is about Health Care Reform.... but that is only symbolic of what this mass of people feel and the response they are compelled make as this ‘President’ forces his policies on them. ( I should add that the presentation the administration is making on ‘Health Care Reform’ cannot be called anything but crude and summary) Say what you want about people who questions Obama's eligibility to be President.... until THAT issue is satisfactorily resolved, the administration will see this kind of challenge to each and EVERY proposal this he makes.
Yes there were MANY warning signs on this guy, but the media completely ignored the signs to get this guy elected. The lesson here is to do your own research on the next smooth talking politician and look to multiple news sources. The American voters hired an angry rookie and now are going uh oh, what did we do. Now it’s time to do some personell house cleaning.
Most people have to concentrate on making a living, raising their kids, and paying for the house. We have little time for politics until things start to go wrong. Unfortunately, this has happened more and more in the recent past.

Excellent point...(of which I could have told them in Nov. but let’s move on). Why are the Demowitchs not understanding or even want to understand that Americans DO NOT want this health care.
