Another Tampa TV Comment:

I was there. It was not a “town hall meeting”. It was a private event by SEIU to push the agenda and giving it great media coverage under the guise of a public meeting. When the doors to the auditorium finally opened there were about 150 people already filling the 235 seats. If it truly were a public meeting it would have been held in a larger venue. The 85 or so seats open for the public were tokens for show. The rest were filled with SEIU, ACORN, union, and Democratic Party faithful.

I was 6 people behind the cut off and never made it in. It was truly disheartning and even embarassing to have all the shouting and disruption. I would have liked to have heard what was said. I could see it was getting ugly and started moving away from the open doors just before they were closed. Smart move.

I would like to see some good, healthy debate on this issue. Nothing is accomplished by trying to out-shout each other or resort to name-calling (both sides were/are very guilty of that). I totally understand the anger and frustration being shown by those who tried to participate. We were lied to about it being a public “town hall meeting”, our President and elected Congressmen and women brush us off and call us “nuts” because we dare to ask basic questions. Our pockets are being picked bare. What else can you expect from us except righteous indignation.

This is as grassroots as it gets! By no means was that astroturf and the hundreds of people there are not robots under the mind control of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, or Todd Schnitt - we choose to exercise our brains and use common sense and we can see where this healthcare plan is going to take us

I’m confused. I was under the assumption that the Healthcare would be FREE. (I wasn’t for it then either)

What is the limit of $5,000/10,000 individual/family on payouts per year. So we are going to have to pay for the insurance AND pay for the services AND pay the taxes AND lose jobs due to the employee mandate fees?

Now I know how to get into a Kathy Castor Town Hall Meeting. Just show up with an Obama or union shirt on and you are in pronto!
