This is the Dim approach. Charge for everything and expect revenues to increase to the government. The more they charge, when most others are free, the less hits they will see ultimately reducing overall exposures.

I applaud the shameless pursuit of cash.

Amen. While I probably wouldn't see the value in paying, I love his efforts to increase the value for his shareholders.

Ad revenues are down. Perhaps that’s what he’s worried about.

I admired Murdoch until he married his liberal wife who is deeply connected to Obamatrons. Perhaps Rup knows that another of NObama’s plans is to make folks start paying for internet services. How else can Socialism live? (Or is it a morph from Socialism to Communism?)

Well, grassroots intenet has more accurate information anyway. Plus we get more of it, actual news I mean.

I believe in capitalism and free markets, so have no problem with him charging.

However, I almost never go to his site when free, so obviously would never pay. I don’t consider it much of a news source.

Personally, I think his experiment will fail.

I just want to go on the record...

I do not go to the Fox website for news and I do not watch MANY of the Fox News SHOWS.

They have pretty people with shallow insight. Whatever happened to investigative journalism and news we can use?

Good luck with that, Rupert.

The only online content I will ever pay for is rushlimbaugh.com.

Don't need any others.

Of all people, Rupe should know about elasticity of demand. If you try to charge people for something that you have been giving away for free, they will go elsewhere or without. Same as with sex.

That's my gripe with many websites!

All the tech-heads and marketing geniuses are pushing ever more singing, dancing scrolling crap that absolutely refuses to show you anything if you don't have javascript plus flashmedia, shockwave, and a couple more constantly updated video players running.

What I want from the home page is basically a clickable table of contents that go to full articles and still pics that I can click on to get video IF I WANT .

The web page designers remind me of the screwballs who made print magazines look hideous not too many years ago, with ransom-note text and odd graphics most 4 year olds would have been ashamed to claim.
