Quick Post whilst FR is up and running.
Just heard on the newsbreak Obama said he would deliver health care reform by the end of the year, and that “it didn’t have to be a bi-partisan effort.”
Pelosi will stay in because she is in a safe district. I don’t think she even has challengers. The only way she will leave the House is on a slab.
But make her lose the Speaker’s gavel and have her have to fly on airliners again instead of her $50 million dollar private jet would be priceless.
He doesn’t have a clue. I love it.
It looks like it’s up to the State
I was brought to tears when McCain spoke about his
love for our country. He is an incredibly forgiving,
gentle, man who may assume that everyone who runs
for office wants the very best for America.
Perhaps that is why he such a poor politician. He
can’t see that many of his colleagues across the aisle
are evil people who do not have the best interested
of the United States in their values.
...Believe it or not, Conservatives can walk and chew gum at the same time...
Oh I know that - wasn’t talking to Freepers! Heck I watch the Crab Fishermen myself!
Let me tell you, though, the majority of the people around me - friends, coworkers and family - will ONLY watch TV or play video games - or whatever - and they admit they do not want to be bothered with politics.
Most of them did not want to hear about Obama before the election. Obama was black, and cool, and young and different, and he was going to bring gay marriage and end racial strife. And I was the nut job for pointing Ayers and where was Zero born and every other thing that should have scared people to death about him!
THOSE are the people I was talking about. And how many of us are in the same boat? How many of us are surrounded by people who don’t want to - or haven’t wanted to - hear it?
It may change now, Lord I pray it does!
Just don’t think I was talking to you or anybody here. Ok?
That sounds right.
Not only that, but Mr. Obama recited that prayer “with a first-class [Arabic] accent” per NY Times’ Nicholos Kristof.
Yes, I live in Montana.
After I get finished gagging, I'll extend my most profound apologies that "we" sent that [BLEEP] back to congress last year. The rotten POS bought the election, JMHO.
I agree....I have tons of respect for him....but he’s too soft ...probably due to what he went through.....
Sorry ‘bout dat.
And yes, I always do a double take when I see MT behind Baucus’ name and then a triple take when I see he is from a “sixth generation Montana ranching family”.
It’s a sad commentary on American politics that in order to win, you have to spend the equivalent of more than the gdp of many nations.
Rush refuses to believe that elections are rigged
either at the polls or through recounts.
Really? I never heard that from him...he’s familiar with Acorn...he should know better. Then again, he knows about the hanging chads....how could he not think elections are rigged?
It grieves my heart when I hear FReepers badmouth
John McCain. He is first and foremost a man who
served seven years of his military life as a POW.
He may be a poor politician, but then isn’t that
actually a compliment... isn’t it?
Standing joke about Baucus is the reason he left the ranch for politics was the herd dogs kept attacking him because they couldn’t tell him from a coyote.
