No, sometimes they are not.
But I’ve seen a lot of Australian birth certificates and I know what they look like, and so when the Bomford certificate ‘appears to be’ an Australian birth certificate, I’m going to need to see considerable evidence to convince me that it isn’t.
For all I know Kenya may have used a similar form. I’d like to see a Kenyan birth certificate of known provenance from somebody.
Is it possible this same format was used for countries formally under the British crown?

AKA Bamford.
"Richard Bamford denies knowing the private companies were propped up by money obtained fraudulently by Feldman from SFG, which claims Feldman was on holidays when another employee discovered the traces of fraud. Specialty told the Australian Stock Exchange: "A recent internal review revealed that, over the last four to five years, approximately $16 million of expenditure appears to have been falsely charged to the company, out of a total property expenditure of approximately $150 million for that period."
Feldman allegedly inflated invoices for supplies for shop fit-outs and renovations, or created invoices for non-existent transactions.
ROBERT BEECH-JONES, SC, for SFG, told the court in May that Feldman's companies were "shovelling money [around] but what money has been shovelled where is a mystery".
Seeking to recover its money, SFG obtained court orders for details of assets from 19 defendants including Richard and Patricia Bamford and their companies. Most did not comply with the orders and yesterday SFG was in the Supreme Court foreshadowing a contempt of court action if documents were not forthcoming. Bamford's lawyer told yesterday's hearing that Bamford believed the money coming from Feldman was "consultancy fees". In a separate Federal Court action, Bamford this week had a liquidator appointed to two of the companies he owns jointly with Feldman. All but Revived Rubber, which made a profit of $87,000 last year, are losing money. But Feldman allegedly argued against liquidation, claiming he could not afford the liquidator's fees. "My wife is out selling her jewellery to put food on the table," he allegedly told Bamford.
Last month the Feldmans put their five-bedroom Vaucluse house on the market for $3.65 million. Feldman has surrendered his passport."
Bingo. Given that Australia and Kenya were both part of the Empire, it would not at all be astonishing to find uniform reporting requirements including the paperwork.
The fact that Australia might or might not have used the same form is irrelevant. What’s relevant is what form was used in Kenya? Only a contemporaneous Kenya form can answer that question.
