I don't think it was a redirect. I think that someone at the hosting site changed the name of the original graphic file, perhaps by hacking into the posters' account and gaining access to that capability, to make a political statement. By changing the name, the image's original file number that was used by default since the original poster didn't bother to name the picture, now goes to the SAME FILE number, but with the newly changed name.
We've already seen someone at Google playing reprehensible political games with data and images in July of 2008 when he purged all of the Google image thumbnails to "disappear" all of the Hawaiian COLBs images in the index. They went so far as to link new thumbnails of random picture to thousands of actual image links of the COLB. Certainly merely changing the name of an image to denigrate the document is easier than that.
I wish I had been home to catch this thing at the onset and head it off at the pass... sheesh.
