This is from a screen capture from her site link that I did *early* yesterday when the thread first broke.

It had “E.F. Lavender”, then.

I did my own capture of the image when the story first broke. My capture was on Sunday, August 02, 2009, 6:47:18 AM.

Mine clearly shows the document number, 47644, and K.F. Lavender.

Perhaps you captured yours after it was tampered with.

I dunno.
That “E” is so mucked up that it’s hard for me to tell whether it’s really “K” with smudgy artifacts.
The number on it is definitely 47044, though.

Old typewriters [especially ones not cleaned regularly and properly] can do produce pretty strange things when the keys get carbon buildup.

I can look at it and see both an E *or* a K, depending on which I’m looking for.

The contrast enhanced version I have shows a ‘created’ time stamp of 6:33 AM so I had to have downloaded the original about a half hour before that, FWIW.
