I think the law at the time was 5 years after 14 so his mother was not old enough to convey citizenship and in his case his Father was a British Subject which means he was born British, not American.
This assumes he was born in Kenya and his father is Obama. Ironically, if his father is indeed Frank Davis then he would probably be good to go.
Its his fathers citizenship which is the issue. His place of birth is just a distraction, albeit one that would readily resolve the issue.

Thank you for the expanded explanation of Eldridge Cleaver’s predicament. I’m shocked that I don’t remember that because I lived there then. I guess that I was too distracted by all of the chaos around me because I was in the process of moving OUT of Berkeley at that time. Bezerkley had become uninhabitable for normal people. I guess a person cannot be expected to remember everything. That’s why somebody invented pencils and Google! ;))
Was the Panama Canal Zone at the time of McCain’s birth considered ‘U.S. soil’?
Carter gave it back to them so I guess so. Not sure exactly what type of “ownership” we had.
Those babies were not "natural born Americans", as you put it, but were US citizens by statute. Native born, but not natural born. There is a difference.
At the time of McCain’s birth, was the Panama Canal Zone U.S. soil?
You’re trying to straddlle the fence now.
Jay’s letters to Madison make clear that the definition in The Law of Nations is what holds. - Of course, with so many judicial activists on the courts, this could be a long journey.
Are you trying to enable the activists?
Orly Taitz’s Kenyan birth certificate has inconsistencies with reality. This was pointed out by Keith Olberloon of all people. She should stick to the law and refrain from deception.
Big bucks from O's campaign warchest (Soros, Buffet, Gates).
Forget it...2 American citizen parents “trumps” anything else you might be considering.
What the Senate did, defacto, was affirm that they believed to be natural born one had to have citizen parents and be born on U.S. soil, by Leahy's own words in the Sense of the Senate resolution!
Before the hearings there was no question of two American citizen parents for McCain yet they held hearings and issued a resoultion. If natural born meant to them one or the other, they would not have held hearings!
Since Leahy leads his resolution with 'whereas' two parents, we know they were just focused upon the place of birth already having settle the issue of parentage. So, at least in terms of what the Seante did, soil and parentage are both vital to the issue of natural born citizenship, not just 'where born'.
Well stated and I wish many people would “LISTEN”.
This is also why McCain was OK even without the military reasoning. All a smoke screen IMHO.
It was just to try to de-rail him...All unnecessary effort.
Remember the stories of their trying to insert some more wording? It might have cleared O if it has passed with the amendment still attached. Can’t remember all the details ... after an entire year of this.
BULL CRAP!
Different BC. - It was never delivered, likely because it didn't exist. The guy had an extensive criminal record.
Nice explanation you gave.
I wish I did not have to laugh at the BF Lavender mention.....isn’t K and E enough confusion? LOL
Unfortunately, that's very true, but it's the double standard we face. It's also one of the many reasons that we have to fight the liberal Democrats with everything we've got.
It's not just politics as usual anymore. These sorry sonsabitches mean to grind us into the dirt under the boot of Marxism.
