Have you seen this poster?
Apparently, it's beginning to appear in odd places in Los Angeles, but nobody seems to know who's responsible for it.
Radio host Tammy Bruce posted some pictures of this odd creation at her blog Saturday morning (h/t Pamela Geller) leading me to investigate further.
At this point, all I could find on the subject was an April 25 article from Bedlam Magazine:
A poster of Barack Obama in Heath Ledger-style Joker make-up with the legend 'Socialism' beneath it has been popping up recently on surfaces around L.A. It does not appear to be in the same category as the many benign take-offs on the Shepard Fairey 'Hope' poster, such as the one by Australian James Lillis (more of a straightforward spoof that merely substituted a Shepardized image of Heath Ledger as Joker on the Obama poster).

Personally, I think it would be more effective if he were the Joker . . . but I don't have Photoshop.
I do not trust any group right now claiming to be the leaders of conservative views, better off to be a lone wolf that catches its own dinner than be a hungry pack.
And I do believe that there is to some extent an effort to organize people here in fruitless endeavors, not that birthers is going nowhere its hitting them from all angles.
Eventually its a war of attrition by one side or the other and of course technology and having the high ground is a tactical advantage, but here on the internet its about setting up a following and I fear some freepers may follow trolls posting suggestive ideas that lead down a blind path or in circles.
This is an interesting project that needs to be kept low keyed but used, Obama polls are falling faster than a souffle during an earthquake.

Something else I'd like to see is a parody on the well known goatse.cx image (Warning: DON'T search for this if you don't know what I'm talking about) using the Obama poster "O" in place of the iconic aperture.

The beauty of this thing is that it isn't organized by some group "claiming to be the leaders of conservative views." It's a pretty big assumption on your part to think otherwise. Further, certain philosophies/types don't "herd" together well in groups and others do. Liberals do because they're like sheep who yearn to be led; conservatives don't because they're "lone wolves" who resent those who presume to lead them. Natures of the beasts.
So IF there's "to some extent an effort to organize peope [on FR] in fruitless endeavors," I wouldn't worry about it much. And though you indentify yourself as a "lone wolf," you sound a little too timid for that. It sounds to me like your too frightened to do much more than sit back and wring your hands at what you see other "wolves" doing.

Brilliant! The creator and hanger(s) are heroes in my book.
Gangs and “street artists” tag everything, and it’s just business as usual and citizens just have to live with it. For example, Austin was lousy with Bush “MisLeader” tags for while.
An unknown takes their own First Amendment jab at Obama and you can bet the farm that some Federal agency will track them down.
Maybe, but it sure strikes a chord.
