Obeerma is trying to convince us he is a guy you'd have a beer with.

Will those impressed by his little farce please gather in the phone booth.

Gates must be a millionaire, earning several hundred thousand a year from a variety of sources.

Easily. Department head, professor, PBS series, international speaking engagements, head of a foundation, many books in print. Vacations on Martha's Vineyard and drives a Mercedes. The man has been called an "intellectual entrepreneur" by Boston Magazine and "probably the top 'academostar' " by The New York Times because of his vast web of money-making above and beyond his salary at Harvard, which is huge to begin with.

I miss Piscopo. Although, I think Phil Hartman’s impression of Sinatra was funnier.

Gates’ family came dressed in very casual “street” style baggy pants. It looks as though that young black woman is wearing either flip flops or very skimpy sandals. They were meeting the President of the United States on national news and they chose to dress like that.

The two young men on the left and the young woman might be White House employees. All are wearing a light blue shirt with dark pants or skirt. The guy on the far left is wearing black work gloves.

I'm not convinced they are Gates' family members. If so, the female is not his daughter. Gates is part white and married a white woman, and has two very light-skinned daughters.
His older daughter, Elizabeth Gates, 27, appeared on TV recently to defend her father, looking very well-groomed -- she writes about fashion.

This is one of the most obscene political farces I’ve ever witnessed.

I actually had some respect for this cop until he stooped to attending this sucker session.

Are you not aware of the devastating letter from the other officer, which he hand delivered to the President, which was read on CNN? Don’t be so hasty.

Look, the cop was played like a fiddle after it was implied he was a racist and stupid, by Gates and Obama on national television.

If you think it was a good thing that Crowley attended this, fine.

It doesn't take a professional political consultant to see this was all about Obama kicking up dust as a diversion, and attempts to cover the tracks of his biased, damaging racial remarks.

Thank you for that correction. I appreciate it.

I guess employees at the White House can wear very baggy clothes and very bare shoes. Even Disneyland has more of an employee dress code than that for employees at every level! The staff in this photo don’t look very professional.
