No, I think that before this announcement that the chances were much better than zero. I was thinking in terms of the law to get this on the books for the individual states and their own ballot. But, now, this sort of takes the wind out of the sails. I think people will start drifting away from the issue and that will take the pressure off the legislatures in the states to pass a law requiring the birth certificate. So, it’s not so good for what I was hoping would be accomplished in the states.

Mmm, I don’t know, Star Traveler. When a government official says trust me, I usually do the exact opposite. Wny are they trying so hard to convince me without actually convincing me? I will trust the document drawn up at the time of his birth in the hospital he was born at that contains the signature of the doctor and nurse that attended him. NOTHING else will do. If Jesus Christ came down from Heaven, knocked on my door, and said,”Hey, Chris, trust me, Barack Obama was born at one of the two Hawaiian hospitals he said he was born at”, Jesus Christ would be told to produce the document in question.

Like Mr. Gibblets said, nothing will never convince me.
