In another carefully worded statement, Hawaii's health director claimed today to have seen "original vital records" that prove "Barrack [sic] Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen."
Chiyome Fukino issued the brief statement in response to the rising chorus of concern across the country about Obama's failure to release a copy of his long-form birth certificate that would reveal the hospital in which he was born, the attending physician and other pertinent details.
"I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawai'i State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawai'i State Department of Health verifying Barrack Hussein Obama was born in Hawai'i and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago ... " read the entire statement in which the president's first name was misspelled and no mention was made of the specific document reviewed.
Fukino originally issued a similar statement last fall.

Here is where I refer to how the “news” works and how the State of Hawaii would come out with a denial of such a report if it turns out to be false...
A direct statement of fact like that would be immediately repudiated by a state, if the state never did such a thing. You would have FReepers all over the place documenting such false statements and the other news sources would be *hammering* Dobbs, because they’re already looking for something to hammer him on, since he’s been reporting on the birth certificate issue. Dobbs, himself, even makes note of the other “liberals” who are hammering on him. They would *love* to get Dobbs on a untrue statement, because of what he’s reporting on Obama’s birth certificate.
So, that’s the beauty of our system (both with news sources and with Free Republic) is that it would be repudiated in such short order that everyone’s head would be spinning around here... LOL...
As I said, I would love to hear such a repudiation of those facts given in the news report...

The chances have always been zero. It’s going to have to be dragged out of him. The increasing pressure is making him and his look like lying fools, and it is severely handicapping him. Anyone in the military now know exactly how to refuse his orders. No, I think that before this announcement that the chances were much better than zero. I was thinking in terms of the law to get this on the books for the individual states and their own ballot. But, now, this sort of takes the wind out of the sails. I think people will start drifting away from the issue and that will take the pressure off the legislatures in the states to pass a law requiring the birth certificate. So, it’s not so good for what I was hoping would be accomplished in the states.
