Per Laura Ingraham Show
Not everyone is cut out to be a foster parent, which is what most of the inner city adoptions require. Foster/adopt is a difficult road. Have you done it? I’d love to hear your experiences.
TW adopted 1983
But this is an excuse. No reason a bright, attractive woman like LI can’t “get married.” It’s obviously the same selfish me-ism that we see in Hollywood types. It’s not about the kid, it’s about whether or not the woman can tear herself from her career enough to have a man in her life.
I know several women who are adoptive parents. They would have loved to have been married, but have not been fortunate. They are wonderful, Christian women, who have made good homes for orphans. Their children are thriving. It’s easy to be judgmental of others’ decisions. If you have ever been to an orphanage in a third-world country, you would see the circumstances these children live under. These kids deserve a family. It is hardly selfish to adopt a child.
Yes, BUT...
From the point of view of the child: what alternatives are there? In this real world the choices for that specific child are quite limited. To be adopted by Laura Ingraham is a winning ticket. Would it be better if she was married? Sure. Was it in the cards for this child? No.
Same applies to Brajolina or whoever. For kids in many godforsaken places, it’s adaption to anybody in the West or misery. For that matter - I can’t stand gay activists - but adoption by gays and lesbians of kids out of misery and into a loving care, I applaud them too.
Ok, we’ll leave it here. I don’t want to hear any criticism then from conservatives when the Hollywood types have “decor” children while putting their career first. And no child can completely “thrive” with one parent. They can get by, they can do ok. But if God meant for there to be one-parent households, I think He could have structured it that way.
I agree ... Rush’s sports segments make me change the channel.
Laura losing her temper. When, where?
Being ret. I have listened to Laura for years every day, 6 - 9am She and Mark Levin are the most informed
and have major legal backgrounds and both were in the Reagan Adm.
She may lock horns on occasion with Liberals as I am many others do.
CAluvdubya and I met Laura Ingraham when she had to deal with a huge crowd and line for book signing.
She was very gracious.
Curious, Where are you from?
You miss my point. Just because Laura is a Conservative it does not mean that her motives are any different than the Hollywood types we see doing these type of Adoptions, I.E. Madonna or Jolie.
Some are quick to jump on those folks for doing the exact same thing that Laura did. That was and is my point.
Congratulations to Laura and her family. It’s wonderful that she has the means and the love in her heart, to provide two lucky children with a caring mother and an excellent chance in life, that they never would have had. I laud her and wish her the best.
