passed but veto by president? If obama want it done, he would’ve supported it by now
If the House & Senate passed this bill and Obama vetoed it, it would be the end of Obama's popularity.
This bill has bi-partisan support and the support of the people, who don't trust the Federal Reserve. Obama promised "transparency", which is exactly what this bill delivers. Vetoing this bill would prove Obama to be the Liar & Chief, and would end whatever credibility he has with anyone -- and he knows it.
A far more likely outcome would be that he would get Libs in his own Party to water the bill down & take some of the teeth out of it. At the same time, this action would make the bill more likely to pass.
If the bill passes and is signed into law, it would be the GAO (the Government Accounting Office) that does the audit -- I am pretty sure that this is one of the provisions in the bill, itself.
IMHO, I think that it would be a real hoot if in the end, it was Ron Paul's bill that unseated Obama from his throne. Then, the real "kooks, assclowns and lunatics" who've called Ron Paul these things all these years, who would be the ones eating crow.
