Former Florida Senate President Jim King, who sometimes fought Gov. Jeb Bush and his own Republican Party over the Terri Schiavo right-to-die battle in 2005, died Sunday after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, a family spokeswoman said. He was 69

In my opinion (and I sure hope MikeFromOhio approves), I think , compared to Terry, this guy was able to take the easy way out. I find it odd how hard he fought to end anothers life , yet fought just as hard to save his own. That's the point.
I pray for his soul. I pray for his family. And at the same time, there's a lesson in this.

My remark was not callous. It was fitting, and it was just.

I used no bad language. I did not show hate. I wondered about his end, and how it compared with that of Terry Schiavo.Yeah. Being starved to death is a horrible, horrible thing. The body eventually starts to eat itself - while still alive - in an attempt to stay alive.

In light of the actions of the muzzie in chief since january, the concept that W and Jeb had to "follow the rule of law" and were "powerless" to stop the murder of Schiavo seems ridiculous.

But way to take me out of context - oh wait, that a pretty common tactic around here isn't it? Again also like DU. Man those coincidences are piling up aren't they??Yeah, yeah. Everybody likes to play the "victim". It's easier.

You don't have to justify yourself to me (although I find it interesting that you feel the need, like you are justifying it to yourself still), but in the end, the Mods apparently felt that it was not fitting for the discussion of this thread.
Take it up with them, not me.

Hey now that's the kind of Christian fellowship I'm going to show my daughterThere's an easy remedy for this one. Simply don't show this thread to your daughter. DUH!

There's an easy remedy for this one. Simply don't show this thread to your daughter. DUH!
Why should I deny her the knowledge of how such "Christian" people act?
I think threads like this (and sadly there are many) would be the PERFECT example when accompanied by scripture illustrating my very point.
She can make up her own mind about how relevant it is when the time comes, but she's going to see the examples never the less.

It was ridiculous even then. As Governor, Jeb had full authority over both the Police and the National Guard.

Tactic #2 - instead of actually responding to the dissenter, make the thread about the dissenter thereby completely ignoring any possible relevance being brought up.
It is quite saddening to see what this forum has become.

I made a statement. You're the one who's getting bent out of shape.
Take it up with them, not me.
I'm not going to bother the Mods over this.

Who is getting bent out of shape here? You DO keep responding and you DO keep trying to justify your now pulled comment.
I'm not going to bother the Mods over this.
So why do you feel the need to keep bothering ME?

My husband works with a man whose wife beat pancreatic cancer. She went through hell with high dose chemo but it worked. She’s been around for fifteen years so far and is still in remission.
I believe pancreatic cancer has a 10% cure rate. It’s very low but some do survive, probably if you get it early enough.
To: y2gordo
Not true in the least!!! I have a feeling that Terri Schlinder’s emanciated body will haunt Jim King throughout eternity. He is feeling the eternal heat right now.
To: Texas Eagle
He fought for the right of the scumbag husband to starve & dehydrate his wife to death, in the first liberal-leftie-marxist govt instituted excecution, against the wishes & desire of her natural family to care for her. What a travesty of justice. I think that Terri's dehydrated & emanciated view will haunt Jim King throughout eternity.
This happened in the spring of 2005, and my own view is that both Jeb Bush & GW Bush could have stopped this & intervened if they had the balls to do so, which they did not. My own opinion is that following the spring of 2005, the rest of GW Bush's 3 yrs 8 mos, was a complete failure for GW Bush, including the election debacles in 2006 & 2008.
To: rcrngroup
To this day, I don’t think Jeb realizes the backlash tsunami he’d face over this if he ever tried to run for President.
