They have every right to speak against her politely. We have the right to hammer them and question their motives. The left is going to do eveything they can to undermine her, here and everywhere else. Trust but Verify.

Pray for America and Lady Palin

Disagreeing on a candidate should not mark someone as a troll

It's more than disagreeing - poster needs to disagree and trash on EVERY Sarah Palin thread?

I’m not too keen on this “political correctness on the right” that has been too prevalent around here.

LOL! You are pushing PC!! Conservatives call it as they see it and that bothers you. Don't pull a zero on us - speaking out w/o knowing the facts.

Here’s the AP’s take on it. Couldn’t bring themselves to report that she told the media to stop making things up—so said she said it to the television cameras:

I’m prepared to answer any of your questions.

But in the meantime....

You should do yourself a favor and research about Sarah Palin and her involvement to bring about the Alaska Highway pipeline which TransCanada Corp is going to build. It is not only impressive but the natural gas pipeline will contribute 6%-8% of the USA’s natural gas needs. Given that Iran, Russia, and Qatar are in the process of building a natural gas cartel, Palin just won a geopolitical economic war against our enemies. And she thumped ExxonMobil, ConnocoPhillips, and BP in the process! That’s brilliance.

Gov. Palin also kept her campaign promise to revamp the state’s pre-existing severance tax on oil & gas production, replacing a structure negotiated behind closed doors by ethically challenged predecessors and the big energy companies with one negotiated in full public view — and then rebated part of the resulting surplus directly to tax-payers.

She is “pro-business and pro-development who believes in free enterprise and capitalistic markets. She understands that marginal tax rates are too high and many federal-mandated programs are counter-productive so she rejected roughly 31%, or $500 million of Obama’s wasteful stimulus package.

The sign of a real fiscal conservative is how they handle the difficult times. The original budget sent to her by the legislature, she hacked roughly $700 million off it in line item vetoes, and banked hundreds of millions for a rainy day. Fiscal conservatism. Then turned around with a 7% cut in overall spending and a 57% cut in capital spending projects. Not just a cut in projected increases. But a real cut.

The Total Percentage Cuts in her last Capital Budget: 31.7%

The Total Percentage Cuts in her last Overall Budget: 16.8%

Smart gal, that Sarah.

Keep in mind, this budget included a large percentage of the stimulus funds in the operating and capital budgets. Clearly, Governor Palin managed to make dramatic cuts to the budget beyond President Obama’s stimulus funds. Governor Sarah Palin is a fiscal conservative.

She made three other promises: to end corruption in state government, reduce earmark spending which she did by 85%, and provided transparency and accountability in state Government. She’s redeemed those promises.

She is pro-American, pro-Constitution, pro-gun, pro-life, pro-capitalistic freedom lover who is the antithesis of Obama. She favors less government spending and fewer taxes on individuals and business.

Why is she electable?

With her emphasis on ethics and openness in government, Palin is capable of reviving a modern-era Reagan coalition of the entrepreneurial middle-class and blue-collar workers who unite traditional economic conservatives (that believe in smaller government and tax relief) with blue-collar workers who hold traditionalist views on culture or morality.

Her political rise is a great (and rare) story of how adherence to principle—especially to transparency and accountability in government—can produce political success.

Oh, and...She’s a working mother with 5 children; one at war; one with a new child; and one with special needs. I admire the way she values and lives her daily beliefs. It’s ok if other disagree.

She advocates the practical common-sense conservatism of Middle America. The center-right. Human, likeable, personable and witty like Reagan, with loads of common sense and confidence, Sarah Palin lives what she believes. And the camera loves her as it loved Ronald Reagan. This is a major threat to those who oppose the conservative arm of the party.

But... If someone chooses to disregard these facts despite insurmountable evidence and hold on to their falsehood claims, that’s their problem.

Running the largest state of the union is not a part-time operation. What a difference it makes when you have an adult running your state.

someone who disagrees with her or doesn’t like her should be able to state those views without being attacked or put down.

Why not? We're not Congress nor the government.

Everyone has the right to free speech, but they must be willing to accept the consequences of the reaction to it....Like Obama and Gates for example.

‘Not sure I agree. We’re grown ups here. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with “attacking” or “putting” down - with rational arguments and even emotion - opposing political views.
Free speech can be heated.
That’s still free speech.’

Rational arguments with emotion is great, I was referring to (but didn’t specify) personal attacks. And, there are a lot of those here from time to time. Apologies for not making my point clearer.

Why do people hate her so much? From my personal experience one guy I know hates her because she was the moral authority and then her own daughter was pg. Another female friend can't stand her because she reminds her of the Jr. League type trying to have it all. Neither one of them will listen to reason. Bizarre!
