Thanks!

This used to be a haven for me (I’m mostly confined to my house) but it’s becoming someplace I’m not proud of.

Anti-Mormons need to get used to the fact that the Mormons, no matter what is said about them, will NOT go away. Ever.

I know how you feel. I was so happy to discover Free Republic. I flew my family back to Washington DC for the Free Republic impeachment rally during the Clinton administration, and donated a couple of times. But, during the last couple of years, the entrenched bigotry here has made me think it is dominated by people who, if you are a thoughtful, intelligent person, you wouldn’t want to make common cause with or be publicly associated with. And, because I’m a Mormon, I guess those people don’t care if I make common cause with. But, I can’t help but think that people other than Mormons are turned off by it.

If you are really interest in promoting conservatism, you ought to be focusing on what we all have in common. If you are interested in something else, then the anti-Mormon, anti-Catholic bigotry makes sense.

Tell this to the tares and wheat seperaters someday - it's getting no traction here.
