This is an excellent article that gives a brief overview.

It leaves out all the cost considerations, which are of course huge, but does talk about the “soft tyranny” of this government takeover.

That's what I was thinking - wow, CNN.

You know fascism is knocking at the door when they put out something like this.

With you loud and clear. It is amazing to me that anyone even bothers posting anything else right now.
This is the last nail in the coffin and I just don’t see how it will keep from being nailed in.

Honestly I don’t either, other than to keep calling and promising to make DAMN sure that the bastards that vote for it get kicked in the A$$ so hard when re-election comes along they wont be able to use a toilet for a month. Of course I don’t use that sort of language, but I make it LOUD and clear I will be donating all I can to WHOMEVER runs against them in the effort to see them fired.

I am going to get appointed a committee chairperson in my district and I will work for candidates running against David Wu in a deliberate effort to get him fired in the Socialist city of Portland Oregon.

This is the last straw for me, I am in a FIGHTING mood now and only their demise will slake my thirst for their defeat. This district is about 4 times the size of the city, and a LOT of people are flat out PISSED OFF now. Even the grocery store checkers, who normally wont say a peep about politics are OPENLY talking about this democrat BS! Thats sayin something!

I’m reaching the age and degree of wealth where I need to make a will. I have no kids or siblings, so the next closest family members are cousins. I have two sets of first cousins, one on my mother’s side and one on my stepfather’s. The ones on my mother’s side, my blood relatives, are uniformly liberal. They were raised by uniformly liberal parents and followed in their footsteps. My other cousins, on my stepdad’s side, are the exact opposite. They’re both well-mannered, good, conservative young men (they’re a lot younger than I am).

Well, I’ve decided. My blood cousins are getting nothing. NOTHING. It’s bad enough that over the years they’ve consistently voted to steal from me and make me less safe. Even worse, they’ve never been the brightest bulbs on the planet and take the stands they take because it’s how they were taught to feel, not due to any actual thought.

And now, they’ve voted for a guy who is intent on ramming through a socialized health care plan THAT WILL SHORTEN MY LIFESPAN. Well, if they’re going to put me into the grave sooner because of their “feelings”, they DAMN sure won’t benefit from it. Everything is going to go to my other cousins, and blood be damned.

CNN’s reporters will have to use ObamaCare too. And the more they research it the less they like it.

Yeah, you get the Republican legislator of your choice. It’s sort of a booby prize.

Unfortunately, most of the responses at the end of the article seem to support universal health care. How dumb are these people?

“Healthy life-style” will be defined by these #%^&.

Male homosexuals have an average life expectancy just a less than 60 years, much worse than smokers.

But will that very expensive “life-style” ever be questioned by Obamacare?

One thing we conservatives should be doing is getting this information out there via our own Facebooks. I put this on mine and in 3 hours had a half dozen acquaintances - who are quite liberal- emailing me in disbelief. One even went so far as to say that if this passes, he will never vote Democratic again.

Let’s face it....the mainstream media is NOT going to report on this. Now it’s time for the Pajama media to take over and do the job

PING YOUR PEEPS!

Blistering grassroots pressure appears to have forced Sen.
Majority Leader Harry Reid to seek some emergency relief by
announcing there would be no health care vote until after
the August recess.

But is it really good news?

Any delay is good, but Reid’s actions are little more than
political misdirection—a ploy to release some of the built
up pressure while the “dirty details” of ObamaCare can be
worked out and tidied up in the Senate Finance Committee.

Reid’s carefully calculated actions prove to me that we
are making a powerful—even historic impact! Imagine
the day after day deluge of petitions, faxes, phone
calls pummeling the Energy and Commerce committee—with
no end in sight!

Keith, we are overwhelming lawmakers.

With Obama breathing down his back demanding he get this done,
Reid had to do something to neutralize us. But that’s precisely
why we can’t fall for his “pressure release ploy.”

No, it’s paramount that we not allow Reid to silence us.

With ObamaCare now being worked on in the Senate Finance Committee,
I want to overwhelm them with a tsunami of protest from grassroots
Americans who refuse to allow the federal government to increase
their control over us by co-opting our health care system.

++ EMERGENCY Petition Delivery Wednesday!

Last week we directed petitions to multiple targets.
On Wednesday they will be delivered to the Senate Finance committee—
demonstrating to Reid and everyone else that
WE WILL NOT GO AWAY. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED!

I’m asking ALL members of our team to help me rally an additional
50,000 citizen signers this weekend to help maximize our Wednesday
delivery by pushing us past the 300,000 mark!

Forward this message to 30-40 friends and family. Inform them
about Reid’s “pressure release ploy” and underscore to each the
importance of taking immediate action by signing our petition
and having a real voice in this unfolding and historic debate.

Click here to be included in our next delivery:

As the sordid details of ObamaCare leak out to the public it’s
becoming increasingly clear the true intent of this plan is to
exercise more control over the citizens of our nation.

Take immediate action with me by rallying your friends and family
today so that I can include them in our next delivery to Capitol
Hill this coming Wednesday!

Again, thank you in advance for your incredible support.

Steve Elliott, President
Grassfire.org

P.S: It’s the ObamaCare chart Democrats don’t want you to see.
In fact, they have outrageously refused Republicans to send it
out to their constituents! We have the chart, and we urge you
to take a close look. After review, we’re pretty certain you’ll
understand why Democrats don’t want it going out to the
American public!
