“Where’s the national (bleeping) outrage?”
SNIPPET: “Editors Note: I would like to pay a special thanks to the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol for protecting our country from those who would do us harm nothing even close to sufficient is being done to support you. Thank you also, to Brad Mellon of the American Red Cross, who gave me permission to use the images he captured during Agent Rosas funeral. Lastly, I want to thank everyone in the law enforcement community who chooses to join the effort Jim and I have begun here. I cannot guarantee success, but I can promise one hell of a fight.

I believe that too many citizens among them certain specific segments of the media and some politicians lack respect for both our borders and for our nations Border Patrol Agents. There is a collective blindness to the realities of what our Border Patrol Agents face at the borders, both South and North. To paraphrase myself, our borders and our Border Patrol Agents get no respect.
About 4,000 people packed a memorial service for Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas, who was shot and killed at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009. Photo courtesy of Brad J. Mellon, American Red Cross.
Drug cartels, gangs, human traffickers, and terrorists are coming across our borders and they are altogether too ready and too willing to kill our BP Agents. But virtually no one in the media is willing to focus on this issue no one seems interested in reporting on the very real dangers faced by Agents every day.”

“No respect: Borders and Border Patrol”
SNIPPET: “During the past two years Ive had the absolute privilege of working many times with members of our nations Border Patrol as well as other Agencies within the Homeland Security umbrella (ICE, Customs, OIG, etc.). As an instructor I have been in the Border Patrol Sectors of El Centro and San Diego California, as well as Del Rio, Texas. Ive been with ICE in Los Angeles and at an OIG Conference in Dallas.
Prior to my involvement I was totally ignorant to the following:
who these people actually were
what their respective agencies were responsible for
how bad the illegal immigrant problem is
how incredibly violent many of these illegals are
the massive amounts of narcotics seized by Border Agents annually
the emergence of Mexican terrorist hit squads murdering thousands along the border
that Phoenix, Arizona (yes right here in the U.S.) is second only to Mexico City for the most kidnappings for ransom in the entire world (!)
and finally, how incredibly ignorant the rest of this country especially our objective and unbiased media is to the reality of this dire national security threat”
