A two-year corruption and international money-laundering investigation stretching from the Jersey Shore to Brooklyn to Israel and Switzerland culminated in the arrests of 44 people on Thursday, including three New Jersey mayors, two state assemblymen and five rabbis, the authorities said.
The case apparently began with bank fraud charges against a member of an insular Syrian Jewish enclave centered in the seaside town of Deal, N.J. Eventually, stemming from that arrest, a federal informant posed as a crooked real estate developer offering cash bribes to obtain government approvals and the case mushroomed into a political scandal that could rival any of the most explosive and sleazy episodes in New Jerseys recent past.

Onama should man up and apologize for the greed, lack of morals and criminal actions of his party.
Don’t you have to be a man, to “man up” ?
No way!
Pure as driven snow it is!
Why, if we all mimicked the New Jersey way.... /s
I been listening to the propaganda too much. Of course you are right, A wimp like Boama could never man up, without a transplant of course.
It's politicism and it's Bushes fault!
Democrat's are being politically oppressed.
They are the politically oppressed majority party in power.
Talk now of Corzine stepping down.
Here we go with another illegal candidate swap in this corrupt state.
Three repubs. All the rest dems.

You left out the classic line..."round up the usual [Democrats]suspects."
Oh so true especially since it is hard to differentiate New Jersey from a RICO.
My prime example is 2002 when Sen. Robert Torricelli became an obviously lame duck because of scandal. The state Democratic Party pulls a real slick one to 'save' the state from the shame of a GOP victory. They got the NJ State Supreme Court to throw out an inconvenient election law, dubbed ex-Sen. Frank Lautenburg without a primary and allowed Frank to spend more of his personal fortune (ADP) to flood the zone and get elected by the Jersey Sheeple.
New Jersey has a real inclination recently to elect very rich Wall Street types like Lautenberg and Jon Corzine (current Gov.). The odd thing is that they are both Democrats, not the well-known (media myth) GOP a.k.a. "Party of the Rich".
Would it be offensive to point out the irony of Syrian Jews living in a town named “Deal” ?
Maybe it’s because they can’t find an honest one to wear the wire.
Does the NJ Democrat Party Chair still have the NJ State Supreme Court Chief Justice on speed-dial? I take it that the Court is still in the hip pocket of the Dems., right? After all the last elected GOP Governor was RINO "Christie" Whitman who was a useless 'go-along to get-along' and still put Lib/Dems into the Court.
I take from your entry that JonC is too unpopular and 'weary' to continue to raise taxes any more. Who are the 'likely suspects'? Please tell me that Lautenberg isn't one of them, PLEASE!
As of yesterday, before roundup, C was 15 pts. behind Christie.
These people were selling HUMAN KIDNEYS for a $150,000 each!!
Paying ‘troubled’ people 10,000 each, then making a profit of 140,000!!!
