I dont like Obama in the least but you cant be so stupid as to believe specialists don’t compensate doctors who refer patients to them. Please tell me you are not so naive, gullible or just plain ignorant.

I know several primary care docs, and they do not.
Not only do they NOT compensate the referring physician, they would both lose their medical license if such a thing took place and they were caught... keepitreal you clearly have no clue about the rules and regulations each and every physician works under; even changing their address is a huge deal, there is even very stringent rules about what doctors are allowed to invest in without risk of censure by the government.... do you know who investigate a doctor if he is suspected of billing incorrectly? The FBI! Doctors have huge overheads, between the cost of staff — which has increased because of rules foisted on them by the government and out of control malpractice insurance costs — as much as 1/3 or in some cases even more, of the cost of what they have to charge a patient is the malpractice part of their fee...yet I didn’t hear Obama say LAWYERS shouldn’t be making a freaking profit tonight! Just doctors... people want to bring down the cost of healthcare — get the lawyers out of the equation.
