It could be very destabilizing, especially for Iran if the mad mullahs respond and cause the creation of a coalition of the willing to destroy their dictatorship. Very destabilizing indeed. They're not tough enough to take on the IDF, their own people, and the US Air Force and Navy. For too long, Iran has aided and abetted those who kill Iraqis, Jordanians, Palestinians, Afghans, Lebanese, Israelis, and, most important to me, Americans.

It has long past time to defang the mad mullahs. Destroy their air defense, their missile launch sites, their nuclear research facilities, their nuclear processing facilities and all ancillary support structures, their ammunition storage areas, their weapons depots, their navy, their air force, their political police, their heavy weapons manufacturing sites that make the roadside bombs, rockets, mortars, and missiles used against the many victims of Iran. Then, if they want some more overthrow the regime.

Iran's economy is in a shambles: they don't even refine their
own oil. How long would they last in a military response
when they run out of fuel?

Interesting analysis; but you might want to take into consideration that they can shut down oil transportation from other countries and continue to ship their own crude to their primary buyer.......China who assisted in the building of the Turmenistan/Iran oil pipeline.

As to coming to terms with our energy problems; there is no long term solution to the energy problems that wouldn’t, in the short term, bankrupt the economy and throw this situation from a Recession/Depression into an outright collapse resulting in the deaths of countless thousands of U.S. residents.

This administration isn’t going to take on China and China is Iran’s principle trading partner and oil purchaser.

Seriously, Bibi -- ignore the whining coming from D.C. Tell zer0 you'll listen when he produces a birth certificate proving he's actually a president of anything.

Thanks but the preposition referred to the Pentaton idiot’s view from the Pentagon, which is in Arlington, across the river from Malfunction Junction.

Lived in Alex for 4 years while stationed in DC in the USAF and know the area pretty well.

You are correct in that the shot was taken from above and a few hundred feet north of the SCOTUS and Library of Congress.

A senior DoD official in this administration just means someone furthering Barak’s agenda.

"A senior US defence official has warned that an Israeli strike on Iran could have profoundly destabilising consequences..."

Israel should do like the United States has historically done; go ahead and make the 'strike' and then deny everything. I bet they are even technilogically sophisticated enough to erase most if not all of the evidence of their involvement in the strike...
