If that idiot is worried that an Israeli strike on Iran would be a problem, give Iran a few more years and he can look out his window over in Arlington and see this. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

‘It would affect Israel’s security...’

So would getting nuked.

However, American foreign policy has obviously shifted to the point that the BHO administration would only consider the annihilation of Israel - our ONLY reliable ally in the Middle East - and all its people a minor ripple in world affairs, compared to what it seems to feel would be the tidal wave created by ruffling Iran’s feathers.

Sometimes you just gotta scratch your head and wonder if our president is working for the U. S., or for al-Qaeda. So far, he’s been far more destructive to American society and American interests than any number of penny ante Moslem jerks with TNT strapped to their belts.

This is all a bunch of hot air. The only nation that would be destabilized would be Iran, and no one else. Also, it would deny Russia it's main trading partner in the middle east and would halt their agenda of taking over the middle east and controlling all the oil.

So where's the harm in that?

This is worthless.

A senior US defence official... - who?

... The Jerusalem Post quoted him, as saying. - who?

... he added. - who?

Where’s the meat? Anybody could make statements like this “official.”

Worthless.

Yes it is SO “stable” there now. Chaos is returning to Afghanistan and Karzai is now meeting with the Taliban against our objections. Iran, the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world and an enemy of the U.S. and Israel, is o the verge of acquiring a nuclear weapon. Pakistan it teetering on the brink of civil war. But Obama’s amateurs think everything is “stable”.

” given the closeness of our relationship with Israel,... “

And just what *&^%#@ing “closeness” would that be?

“The only nation that would be destabilized would be Iran, and no one else. “

And who would cry for them? Not me.

>> he can look out his window over in Arlington and see this <<

Good work!

But a small correction:

The view you’re showing is not FROM Arlington but TOWARD Arlington. So your picture is approximately what somebody would see while hovering a few hundred feet above the SCOTUS building.

A senior US defence official has warned that an Israeli strike on Iran could have profoundly destabilising consequences, and would directly affect US interests.

And those US interests would be what? A$$ ki$$ing those nut jobs?

Closing the Straits of Hormuz would be an act of war and cause the USA to act. It would be similar to the act of Gamal abd al-Nasir when he closed the Strait of Tiran that precipitated the 6-day war.

......I think we would hope that they would take those strategic calculations into account,” ......

This statement is a message, not to Israel but to Iran.

Iran holds the cards. If they continue to play the nuclear hand, there might be consequence. The consequence is that once it begins, it will be everybody concerned in the area, plus the USA piling on against the Mullahs.

The Israeli cities I put in showed blank space, which is about par for the course. I think the IDF blocks satellite surveillance.
