“You forget that the electoral college elects the president.
We elect electors. They haven’t been disqualified.”

So what you are saying is that the electoral college could then vote for anyone for president..even if they are not a US citizen? Seems like a gap there if that is true? The founding fathers had no idea what a mess we would get ourselves into!

No, the Electors cannot elect such a person.

I’m not sure where you went astray there.

Yes, they can vote for ANYONE (with the assumption of Constitutional qualification).

They obviously DID vote for someone who wasn’t Constitutionally qualified this time.
