Yes, she did according to the article (the original article that was laudatory of her for her fashion sense and political views - not the FReeper comments).

You have to admit that the parents are still in charge of her wardrobe... there are some things I would not allow my children to wear, depending on the event. On the other hand, I didn't allow the peace symbol in my house because of the historical significance of it. The kids didn't mind. I just have to keep pointing out that it was the parent's decision to allow her to wear them even if the article says she picked it out. OK, I promise to stop rehashing it.
