I'm scheduled to be on MSNBC this afternoon to talk about the controversy over the pulled Free Republic thread about Malia Obama.
The segment should air live around 3:30 p.m. EDT barring any breaking news, etc.
David Shuster and Tamran Hall will be co-hosting the segment.
I'm heading out the door in a few minutes.
VIDEO: Free Republic's Kristinn Taylor Spars With Shuster Over Malia Thread
Good job Kristinn. You’re getting to be a PR professional when dealing with this kind of nonsense.
The left owns the gutter and that's where they shall remain.
I didn’t realize you were so new here. Didn’t see the thread in question, except for a link to another website that had a snippet of it.
I guess your handle kind of blends in with the rest of the Veteran’s handles. I guess in the eyes of many, your future actions will speak louder than words so to speak. One this is for sure, this brought out the best of us, and exposed the worst in DU and KOS.
Same here, I watched Little People, Big World, and The Little Couple on TLC instead and House on USA
Per the “writer researching conservative media”, CatM from kos, chris parry also was “INACCURATE” in reporting that Jim R. had posted her email with her E MAIL ADDRESS, DID NOT HAPPEN.
Kristin you were great. Thanks for doing this.
Hey, are you on Long Island too? I also have Verizon FIOS and thank goodness they DO NOT offer MSPMS as an “included”!!!
I do love my Fox Business though. Cablevision doesn’t offer that one.
Even bad publicity is good publicity. Some viewers will come and take a look for themselves and realize that the press is lying.
I have to give you both a high five for standing true to your beliefs.. on behalf of FR.
Would someone please explain to me what is to me gained by posting pictures of the president’s children calling for captions, which will certainly hold them up for ridicule? Any president’s children.
Why to the left and not to the right?
I find that I tend to look away and it's because I'm thinking of a response or more accurately - crystallizing my reply. I always walk away though thinking, "he/she probably thought I was being evasive since I tend to look away when responding".
I was actually interviewed earlier today by the local NBC affiliate, regarding something the county is proposing. I had no idea what the gal was talking about, as I don't pay close attention to local politics and issues, (though I should).
I'd like to view it later (to judge myself and see if I appear evasive) but it's on past my bedtime so I'll miss it.
But, I don't buy that looking away is a sign one's lying. I know I am being 100% honest, even though I do it.
William F. Buckley used to look away a lot too.
They lie.
It’s what they do.
The shirt probably did it. It’s a terrible symbol that represents OUR VIETNAM VETS being spit on. The Vets are still offended by it. Memories grow short..and in my humble opinion, the parents should have been held accountable for allowing her to wear the offensive shirt.
You will have to get an updated picture. :)
The picture calls for comments about the kids. Prtesident’s kids should be off-limits. Do you really think that kid woke up that morning and selected that shirt as a political statement?
Didn’t get a chance to see it and hope to catch it on video. From what I’ve read you should make Jim Thompson proud.
The thread I saw was not a "caption" thread. It was a news article written by the Daily Mail UK, I believe, which included the picture of Obama's daughter. The article said she was making a political statement with her shirt. Now, there may have been another thread asking for captions, but I didn't see it. I wouldn't believe everything, or even anything Kos or MSNBC tells you.
By the way, captioning pictures is done on the internet and now tv news style shows. I can’t remember which ones I’ve seen it on. It started a long time ago, and then went viral.
