How many cheap, nasty shots have the gang over at Gawker taken at the Bush and Palin families, Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, et al. over the years? Thousands, no doubt.
Actually when you get the “No Response” search page, you have to search for the blue “Find User” statement and hit it. Frustrating but it works when one figures it out.

It WAS pulled as soon as it got out of hand. And two other similar threads were pulled as soon as they were spotted. KOS simply thought threads two and three were the original thread re-instated.

I want to point something out to you before I run. Have you noticed how rabidly FReepers have defended themselves against the racist charges? It is because we HATE racists and are sick of the left falsely using that label with us. IF, however, you go to a real racist website like Stormfront, they will jump up and proudly proclaim their racism. They will attempt to turn this on you with phrases like political correctness.
FReepers and true Conservatives fight Racism. We see a lot of racism on the left, especially when they tell minorities they aren’t good enough to succeed without Big Brother’s help. How about Ginsberg’s comments the other day about abortion being about controlling the ‘wrong types’ having babies. What is more racist than eugenics. Obama’s new science adviser mirrored these type of comments and made worse.

Darn, you finally put it in English. That makes sense. So there were three threads, not one. I have been reading this stuff for about 2 days now and frankly, I have been confused. (Of course, I was drinking part of that time.)

First off, I do not condone attacking anyone’s children, especially the President of the United States. While I vehemently disagree with the current POTUS and his politics, I respect the office. Further, if the voting record is truthful (and while I think there is election fraud every election, I do not believe there was enough election fraud to throw the election) and Obama won and McCain lost, then all of here us have every right to oppose Obama’s politics, but acknowledge the will of the people, even if they're wrong.
But, as Parry said, this isn't about the comments made, but how the moderators and owner of this forum reacted to them. The bottom line was the comments were deleted when abuse was reported/noticed. That is not new, it has always been that way here. I have sometimes reported abuse on a particular post if it was violent or racist in any way and then have seen that post gone within short minutes. The admin mods err on the side of caution, if they err at all.
One overreaching concern for me in the whole political dynamic we have in this country is the huge Leftward bias the press has against conservatives, religious Christians and others they find culturally or politically unacceptable. Chris Parry's past and current posting behavior has a huge aspect on this issue and cannot be ignored. Things have been explained by Jim Robinson and the admin moderators completely yet Parry is sticking to his original charge, which is laden by a terrible burning bias.
Sorry, but that's the way I see it. It is despicable.
Unbridled media bias is destroying our country. Any conservative IS the enemy to them—not someone who is wrong, confused, or misinformed, and God forbid possible right. No, the Left nowadays considers the Right as an enemy worth fighting by any and all means. The one network that dares to try fair and balanced reporting is ridiculed and slandered as a tool for the Right, while all the rest are not only tools of the Left, but the Left itself. What better way to see that by simply reading the utterings of one Chris Parry, reporter, online editor, and rabid Daily Kos contributor?

And for the information of the general public, the pulled thread was never reinstated. The thread in question was posted on the ninth and reported via abuse report on the morning of the 10th and was pulled within minutes of that report by the Religion Moderator “for review.” And it stayed pulled. The Admin Moderator later found two more copies of the same article (one posted on the 8th) and pulled them both around 11:00 am on the 10th. And he re-pulled the thread in question at the same time to change the “for review” pulling message to simply “pulled.”
Also, to clear up the mystery, our moderators do NOT review every post or every thread. That would be an impossible task. We do have a “pending” file where we get a chance to review newbie posts before they go public. That gives us a chance to reject the mental cases from DU and DailyKOS who seem to get off by registering troll accounts on FR to post homosexual porn. And that newbie review program has definitely reduced our number of perverted liberal headcase trolls.
It was so chaotic, we had trouble keeping them straight. But the fact of the matter is, when we saw racist posts, we zotted them with all the power and might of Valhalla, as always.
Sorry! Being a southern boy you tend to call anyone north of you a Yank! Heck I even call folks from Kentucky Yanks! Point taken! :p
