Bill O'Reilly has called Free Republic a hate site and he may now have some ammunition to back up that assertion.

"A typical street whore." "A bunch of ghetto thugs." "Ghetto street trash." "Wonder when she will get her first abortion."

These are a small selection of some of the racially-charged comments posted to the conservative 'Free Republic' blog Thursday, aimed at U.S. President Barack Obama's 11-year-old daughter Malia after she was photographed wearing a t-shirt with a peace sign on the front.

The thread was accompanied by a photo of Michelle Obama speaking to Malia that featured the caption, "To entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds."

At a time when the administration is seeking any reason to squelch any speech it deems "hate", as well as the entities where that speech may be found, what the hell were these people thinking?

If a child that is eleven, and walking, talking, or simply dressing like a skank, the thought would enter my mind, as to did her mother make her dress that way, or did did she choose her outfit?

If her mother chose to dress her that way, by cajole or by force, then what exactly is the Mother's motive?

If the child herself chose to dress that way, what is her motive?

I would not simply assume that a naked girl dancing down the street is so overjoyed that she forgot her clothes, but then, that is me. You obviously have higher levels of intellect and see nothing but the good in all.

My frustration is with the actual Freepers on this thread who believe that an 11 year old girl is fair game.

Racist or not, some of the statements being defended are indefensible.

While these remarks are in poor taste please tell me how they are racially motivated? Or, are any poor taste comments automatically racist?

I'm sick and tired of white guilt. The double standard is appalling . Janeane Garafalo was calling Tea Party participants "tea-bagging racists" and her explanation in a video was : "I saw a sign in the crowd that said: What you talkin' 'bout, Willace?" related to high taxes. What? A script line from a sitcom that is repeated all the time is now racist!? And that was her first defense of what she said. I am no racist and yet I have used that line many many times and it is used as comedy in the exact manner that it was first conceived..."iimmitation is the most sincere form of flattery" will now get you accused of being a racist...

We were not attacking the kids on that thread. We WERE discussing very inappropriate clothing for and 11-year-old to be wearing in Italy on an official trip with the American President. I would have criticized the Bush twins for wearing the same outfit and I would have questioned the clothing the 15-year-old cousin was wearing if he had been with the Bush twins, also... the entire issue was one of inappropriateness.
