"
Saqin, don't be so disengenous. There are dozens of kids walking around with those symbols and each and every one of them have parents who should be publicly horsewhipped, tarred, feathered and tossed into the Mahdi's well in Iran." Well said! We need to erradicate that disgusting symbol.

Theres no doubt in my mind leftists will milk this for all its worth in an effort to discredit everybody on FR. In my time here, Ive known FR to be a very civil place, and things like this are not common at all. The idiotic remarks were probably made by leftists themselves posing as FReepers so to make the whole group look bad. That is an easy thing to pull off.

I knew I'd eventually find you claiming there's nothing offensive about the signs and regalia of the National Liberation Front's American contingent.
Those folks were and remain the enemy. It's a symbol of their treason.
To: ETL
Excellent! Keep it up, this will be a reference thread!!

A few Vietnam vets might beg to differ. That's their individual prerogative. But they don't have ownership of the symbol (and, yes, I have several Vietnam vets in my family and yes, I have young nieces who wear what they consider "cool" retro clothing with tie dye and the peace symbol and no, none of the Vets in my family see anything offensive about it)

Those are some really uncalled for (and stupid and offensive comments). Leave the kids out of it.. Couldn't agree more.
People here are much better than that.
People keep saying that, but in response the comments seem to get nastier.

It’s amazing how society has changed. Secret Service undercover dressed in the latest fashion in order to fit in to their surroundings.

Fortunately for me, about a year ago, the local cable company moved MSNBC to a higher tier which I do not have. Therefore, there is no way I could accidentally stumble upon this revolting krapp.
Someone wake me up when the media has some real news to report.

"Thirteen years! Three hundred thousand members! Thirty million posts!!"
So one thread gets pulled containing what...100-200 posts? (Guesstimate b/c I didn't see it) and MSNBC a state organ posing as a news network feels this warrants a segment? Just Wow. Statistically speaking, this event is a ZERO.
The other item to come from this flap is clear evidence that the ACORN/OBAMA war room has us under a microscope, seeking "evidence" that right wing websites need to be "controlled." Who's that NY commie prof on Obama's team, Susstein? The one who wants to control the internet, to avoid that awful "hurtful" speech?

Now that wouldn't surprise me.

That’s not Secret Service. That’s her 17 year old cousin.

The Fourth Estate is on the story. Have no fear! Aren’t they an extension of the Obama Government?
I’ve always been opposed to people picking on the children of politicians. It’s different when they are adults and choose to make speeches or to campaign in other ways. I have no qualms about picking on politically active spouses of politicians. Children are off limits. I wish others shared the same view.

"Those conservative brutes!"

Ive known FR to be a very civil place, and things like this are not common at all. In fact, Ive only seen it maybe once or twice. Please. This racist crap shows up on nearly every thread concerning the Obamas, particularly Michelle and particularly the "Caption This!" threads. It's ubiquitous these days on FR and has no doubt chased many people away (maybe rightly so).
