Israel has warned Iran of catastrophic consequences if it attacks the Jewish state with weapons of mass destruction.

Israel's national security advisor says Iran will be destroyed if its dares to launch a nuclear attack on the Jewish state.

In an interview published Friday in the Hebrew daily Ha'aretz, Uzi Arad said Israel must have "tremendously powerful" weapons to deter or retaliate for a nuclear strike.

I think one in the middle of Irans desert would do the trick.
Launch is on a To Cruise from a sub.
Kill maybe a few camels.
Then smile.

Not at all clear to me that this is the average Persian. I wish it was, but I lived through the 60s here in the US. You could hardly call the anti-war movement then to be widespread. It got coverage, but wasn’t very deeply rooted across the country. I believe the same is true here. If the movement in Iran WAS pervasive and deeply rooted, then we’d start seeing dead mullahs. We haven’t.

Arabs are not Persians, and Sunni’s are not Shias. Many Arabs completely get what the mullahs are after, which is regional political dominance. A reprise of the Ottoman Empire with a Persian leadership. Not all Arabs want that.

“Ezekiel 39:2 KJV”

Things are moving way too fast not to see that something really BIG has been set in motion during this last year.
I sincerely believe the World’s times clock is winding down to midnight.

The preferred complete destruction weapon against Iran would be neutron bombs. These are airburst weapons that would kill all life on the surface. While that are not believed to be in most nuclear inventories, they are not particularly hard to fabricate for a nuclear power.

This would likely give the Iranians from a few days to a month of slow and agonizing death, which the rest of the world would be able to watch.

They have their eyes on Bahrain first as one of many steps, or dominoes, toward building a unified Shia Caliphate in the Middle East. I for one do not think Riyadh will let them go through with it. We may also see some very very curious military alliances against Teheran that we would have never thought possible in the past in that part of the world.

Also a madman like Hitler knew his limits. He did not use combat gas against the allied armies, since he feared a retaliation and stalemate ala First World War.

The fanaticism of the islamic regime is bluster. They are first rank hypocrites and never shy of opportunism.

The mullahs were not reluctant to accept Israeli support versus Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq war.

If only the destruction of Israel were their goal, they wouldn't bother increasing and widening their political networks in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Palestine (and overseas). The islamic republic is trying to become a regional great power. Every indicator speaks for this.

That being said... a nuclear Iran will result in every other state in the region arming itself with nukes. This could mean that terrorists one way or the other will get their hands on them. THEN there will be real trouble.

Again, my assertions don't mean that I think mullah nukes aren't a threat. The case for stopping Iran's nuclear program is compelling, but it's well adviced to get an realistic impression of it.

Arabs are not Persians, and Sunni’s are not Shias.

You tell me!/sarc

Not all Arabs want that.

That's why I said the " Arab street" tends towards nutjob, while the Arab leaders are afraid/opposed.

After the war with Hezbullah (Shia Iran-proxie) Nasrallah was ranked as the most popular man in the Arab (Sunni) world.

Iran in it's propaganda is playing heavily on Arab pan-Islamic sympathies. They portray themselves as the true friends of Palestine (Hamas... Iran-proxy and Sunni Arab).

Many (not all... by far) Arab Muslims would like to see Iran do away with Israel. Hence the loud rhetoric from Iran.

But for exactly the reasons you gave... the Arab leaders and many of their subjects don't want to see Iranian nukes.

Yes indeed. God is setting the stage for Armageddon using Israel to separate bible believers from the unbelievers of the earth, many who are in apostate Christendom who deny the the Scriptures and have set up their respective denominations and teach the commandments of men in place of the commandments of God by His Word.

Psalm 2
1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Yes, Arabs would like Persians to “take out the trash (Israel).” Bad news is that for the Persians to have that capability also gives them the power to threaten every other regime in the neighborhood. Rational people would figure out that it’s not worth it. OTOH don’t count on rationality in the ME.

(Iran will NOT launch a first strike on Israel.)

I am not so sure. Islamic Iran is as crazy and delusional as leftist communist democrats who would and do cut off their own nose to spite their own face. Delusional people like democrats and Islamic terrorists are a danger to peace and prosperity and freedom. The democrat Obamanation is fast destroying us and trying to undermine Israel.

unified Shia Caliphate

The Caliphate is by definiton Sunni. The Shia tradition has the mullah clergy rule the spiritual things, and earthly kings rule the secular world. Since 1979 there is the "velayat faqih" propagated by Khomeini, rule of cleric for the secular world within a quasi-modern Republican system.

Iran is a soviet-style "islamic republic" and not based on Shia tradition. It's a hybrid system of Bolshevist "world revolution" and a rather recent islamic ideology.

Since 1979 Iran's goal is to establish like-minded islamic Republics throughout the region, dominated by Iran. It's not the Caliphate and has not the traditional/aristorcratic trappings of it.

If the Iranians have a secure Bandar Abbas (port) why in the world would they (and the powers to be ) have their eyes on Bahrain? ya’ gotta’ know this- those Iranians don’t mess with Arabs and right now the country of Iran is total political upheaval and it’s not getting the press it deserves and the world is watching!

We underestimate their real-world strategical thinking at our peril. We call the mullahs “crazy” since 30 years and misunderestimate their moves and motives. They are EVIL, not stupid. They are about to cement their stranglehold on the region, while we guess and wonder what they are up to.

They play chess, we think they are juggling.

If the movement in Iran WAS pervasive and deeply rooted, then we’d start seeing dead mullahs. We haven’t.

If the recent million-strong protests haven't given an indication... the will is there, but not the means. Unarmed protestors are being crushed down by armed thugs.

You see... the people of Hungary and East Germany also wanted to get rid of the Commies... but they were crushed. The lack of means to free yourself is no indication of a lack of will.
