It was a great episode and what appears to be a heroic effort to transcribe but seriously, “innacuranism?”
Bad enough that confusingly was substituted for confusedly and idiocy was rendered idiosy, yet only the very recent viewing and the phrase that followed allowed anachronism to properly replace such an outrage.
Serling’s work remains timeless and unequaled, IMO.

I gave the transcriptionist an “A” for “By rod and by staff they come for me...”, however — makes sense, don’t it!?

I loved him in the Rocky series. And let us not forget his role as the Penguin in Batman. (Maybe not one of his better roles). Too bad he never got to utter what could have been his most famous line ever (were it spoken): "Hey, Rock! Watch me pull a rabbit out of your ass!"
I bet he could've done it, too.

Meridith was 1 of only 2 people to Star in 4 TZ episodes - the other being Jack Klugman. I had noticed before that these two men appeared in several epsisodes but it wasn't until this weekend (during the Sci Fi Channel's TZ Marathon), that I investigated further on Wikipedia and confirmed the above factoid.
Ironically, in another memorable Merideth episode, can't remember the name, but he played a bookworm bank teller that survives a nuckear holocaust, but ... well don't want to spoil the ending. Anyway, the man who played his bankmanager appeared in 5 TZ epsiodes but did not star in any of them.

**...Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of man, that state is obsolete.**
They’d never allow it to be run with this line in it!!!

Excellent!!
Thanks for the great read.
(By the way, I believe:
"You're an innacuranism..." should be "You're an anachronism", and,
"By rod and by staff they come for me" should be "Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.")

When I saw the thread’s title, I thought of the episode where Richard Deacon was replacing all the workers with robots and then one day he himself was replaced with a robot.

Yes - another good epsiode full of irony. The Statist gets his own.

I watched some of the TZ marathon over the weekend. So, did I. I wasted a couple hours watching some episodes of that '80s Twilight Zone series. Just about all them were awful. What a waste of time.
They couldn't come up with any good ideas.

I loved that episode, might be my favorite. Can't remember the name either. Will always remember the ending, not to worry will not give it away.

"Time Enough, At Last"?
To: InvisibleChurch
another thing -
“Out of the depths, have I called unto thee, . . . Let thine ears be attended to the voice of my suffocations”
Should be “supplication”, I think, and “attentive” instead of “attended” - :)
Although using the word “suffocation” seems to make sense as well! ha

What's the deal with SciFi channel changing their name to SyFy? Sounds like an internet investment company.
Never understood large companies/organizations spending millions over the years on brand recognition, then change their name. Always makes me think that nephew Bobby is now on the board of directors and wants to "leave his mark".

Time Enough at Last Thank you, I have been racking my brain trying to remember that title. Loved that episode.
Thanks also for the link.

Thank you, could not remember that title for the life of me. I can still see him standing there.
