It makes no difference if it is the truth or not, if a word tends to make people stop listening to you, it’s not very useful if you are trying to persuade those people.
If you describe instead exactly what the democrats are doing, people become horrified and want to act. They will do so because of what they then know is happening, and it won’t make a bit of difference what you call it.

I heard two ordinary housewives discussing this, and they were livid — neither were political, but they understood that they weren’t getting new kitchen cabinets because of the Democrats.
