The TEA Party movement is all about smaller, more representative government. We are fed up with our unresponsive, ever expanding and totally out of control BIG government.
We feel our elected officials and politicians of both political parties have failed us and no longer represent our interests or the country we love, and no longer deserve our support. The Democrat party is totally lost to Marxism and the Republican party is not far behind. I've heard thousands of people saying it's time to kick them ALL out!
Rebellion is brewing!
If we the members of the grassroots TEA Party movement could nominate a candidate for president, who would it be?
Well, obviously, it should not be a leading member of either of the two major political parties that have failed us so miserably that we're now on the brink of rebellion. No beltway insiders please. No next in line it's my turn candidates. No try again candidates. No media's choice candidates. No slick-haired, smooth talking, two-faced political hacks. Big government, big spending northeastern moderates need not apply.
Time for a fresh face. Time for someone who walks the walk as well as talks the talk. Someone who actually believes in America, believes in small government, believes in freedom, believes the people can and will fend for themselves and do not need or want a government nanny.
Time for an outsider. Time for an outcast. Someone who is not contaminated with Washington politics as usual. Someone with a record of standing up for individual rights, smaller government, smaller taxes, traditional American values, national pride, national defense. Someone who speaks from the heart and connects with we the people by speaking the truth and by truly representing our individual interests and individual freedoms.
Enough with Marxism! We need someone who will say No to more BIG government programs! Say NO to socialist BIG government health care systems! NO to BIG government takeover of private enterprise! NO to crippling BIG government energy boondoggles! NO to global warming hoaxes! NO to BIG spending, BIG taxes, BIG government!
But YES to American individuality, American freedom, American resourcefulness, American independence and the American can do spirit! And YES to American pride, patriotism and national defense!
And YES to good old American know how!
It's good to be American! It's good to be FREE!
You betcha!
Go Sarah!
Drill baby drill!
Sorry, but the tea parties will not do it. No real power there but just wishful thinking. Keep hearing it's a start. Right! Now if there were recall partitions in States that have RAT senators, then the real rebellion would be started. Can't wait until 2010, damage by then would be catastrophic.
If you are on the ticket in the middle of the campaign, and the Presidential candidate takes a position, as the VP candidate, you take that position as well.
An independent Sarah Palin is not a TARP supporter. Just as she refused to receive large portions of the Porkulus bill, but was overridden by the legislature.
Sarah certainly fits the bill. I would also nominate my own Congresscritter Randy Forbes, one of the few real conservatives to have survived up on Capitol Hill.
Palin / Petraeus
No prisoners.
Sarah Palin, of course.
Generally, anyone who takes the Constitution for what it is: a list of limited granted powers, beyond which no allowance is given.
Palin is the best we have for the time being.
I just tend to be leery of the whole “personality cult” thing, whichever side it may be on.
I like your style.
I would like to see these people, and several more, put on a committee of sorts to travel around for the next two years taking the conservative cause to the people in every state, at every level. Mix and match them in their appearances and have them go into areas with all kinds of demographics. Let's see how people react to them. At some point one or two of them will begin to stand out.
Palin/Robinson?
Glad to see you are an impartial observer here. She has not even said she is running. My personal choice for a ticket would be Quayle/Palin, but that's just me.
How can we do this in a winning way? In a way that doesn't end up with an Obama second term? We would need to have candidates for all national offices.
I think people here are going to have to do something they do not want to do: run for office. It is the people who don't want to be politicians, that we really need in those offices. We need people in who think of serving time in public office as a duty to the country we love-—not a selfserving step to fame and fortune. We need people who are regular citizens, who know the true struggles of their neighbors; who have run businesses, who have run families; who have been at the kitchen table trying to balance their budget; instead of lawyers who have spent all their time figuring out how to use the public to finance their education and social lifestyle.
Sorry to disagree with you, but I don't see that person as Sarah Palin. I nominate Jim Robinson!
Palin/Bachman
I think Sarah w/ John Bolton would be the one..
The left has proven that it is playing for blood.
I want a fighter. An unapologetic fighter. One who knows their stuff.
1. Coulter
2. Cheney
3. Bachman
4. Palin
(All women? Backbone is found in both genders. Some good men:)
5. Coburn
6. Hunter
7. DeMint
8. Inhofe
Palin.
I forgot Bolton.
I see the same slow brewing going on just like it was in 1993, the results would be famous year of backlash, 1994.
Seeing how it was the liberty movement that started the tea parties, I go with Peter Schiff
My tagline speaks for itself!
