You really don’t know the hearts of those who left. Former Catholics who are in our church are usually older, not divorced, have had their children and were just fed up with heresy and false teachings. They were not looking for some easy way out. I can understand younger ones, perhaps, but these are older and well seasoned Christians. One family had 12 kids.

My former pastor would not marry divorced people. It caused one couple to leave. He stuck to his guns.

I know what they’re told me.

“Former Catholics who are in our church are usually older, not divorced, have had their children and were just fed up with heresy and false teachings.”

No. They cannot have cosidered a Catholic teaching a heresy unless they were already protestantized.

One. Great.

“My former pastor would not marry divorced people. It caused one couple to leave. He stuck to his guns.”

Former pastor? What about the current one?
