WE have a 14 year old dog. About three months ago, he could not get up for a few days. He recovered and is toddling around pretty good now. Hope yours will soon be up and going again.

We feed the Purina 1 for old pooches. Has that added stuff in it and old Peter is soldiering on. He’s Ben’s dog.

Bingo.

Funny how they’re quick to spend the taxpayers money (or those who have no relationship to these individuals), yet they talk about how expensive it is to them.

Hello, there are MediCal/Medicaid/Medicare, etc. already.

That’s the same question Obama will have them asking re: preconditions, only they will NOT get treatment period after he’s finished with healthcare.

My husband killed our dog, he sprayed Round-Up and put out ant poison, did not wait long enough to let the dog out, dog could not stand and had a seizure, took him to vet and he died the next day.

I make his food, he’s got gi issues and it seems I’ve hit on the perfect recipe for him.

In chicen broth I pouch 6 or 8 eggs. Add 3 cups of rice, later a cup of oatmeal. 1 cup of chopped spinach, olive oil as well.

I stir glucosamine into it and give him doggy vitamins.

He doesn’t seem able to handle anything else.

Do you really think Checkers is all powerful? You might want to consider that Jim pulled the threads and allows Checkers to post his comments.

No, but I do believe that there are some who play favorites with the talk show hosts. When the Savage-ites were posting similar screeds on this thread back in the day, the posters of those screeds were suspended or banned. When the same thing occurs on TSN thread, the thread gets pulled rather than the poster(s). The posters in question have been told by the powers that be before to cut it out and they laid low for a while but have recently felt emboldened to start it up all over again.

Out of those flame wars arose what was supposed to be a gentleman's agreement of sorts that fans of particular talk shows go play in their own sandbox and don't go to the other threads to diss the talk-show host who is the topic of that thread. The people on the TSN thread kept their wisecracks about Levin on the TSN thread and the Levin fans kept their "weiner" comments on this thread and didn't go over to post them on the TSN thread.

That agreement broke down a couple of weeks ago when certain posters were allowed to go onto the TSN thread and diss the host of that show with an impunity that would have gotten a TSN fan banned from FR for life if they had reciprocated on this or any other talk show thread.

Personally, I might be a minority among Savage fans when I say that I actually like Levin very much. I was so happy when KSFO (one of our local talk channels) changed the lineup so Levin (and Hannity) would be on air in San Fransicko live instead of tape delay.

Lately I have been posting more on this tread than on TSN thread (mainly due to Savage's frequent absences as of late). I feel bad for Fudd Fan (the noble Levin threadhostess) and the others frequent Levin posters that this issue has ended up on this thread today, but since TSN thread was pulled today, it was natural that the conversation would move over here since it's a live thread as well.

It's okay now, about 15 years ago, was a terrible time for all of us. My husband's parents had never let him have a dog, this was his first dog, our first child:)

Does he have a delicate GI tract? My parents’ last shepherd did, she was a pip. This doggie also, the only thing she could tolerate well was ground chuck, boiled with NO seasonings (except my mom put a little garlic powder in it but really, it even smelled bland) mixed with cooked rice.

My mom cooked it for her every day. Poor doggie also had bad arthritis for the final couple of years. It was sad to see.
