Were you a Mitt Romney for President supporter?

Geez, no. My preference was Thompson. I voted for McCain over Romney in the NY primary as the lesser of two evils and, if Mitt had been the nominee, probably would have written in a candidate.

What a bunch of ridiculous, ad hominem insults. Does that pass for argument among Palin worshipers? I don’t loathe her, I just don’t think she’s the savior of conservatism.

I think a lot of folks saw you post several negative articles on Sarah and thought you were somehow or somewhat agreeing with the negative press.

Me, I was having a bad day (still at work even) and you happen to get in the line of fire.

I try not to post when I'm in a bad mood or had a few adult beverages.

Let's agree to: Just Say No To RINOS!

I do agree with some of the negative press. Not because I dislike Palin but because I don’t like seeing someone I admire make IMHO a big mistake.

To be fair, Palin’s supporters tend to paint her Republican critics as either closet liberals or elitists.

And often times they aren’t just critics, but are pathological bashers and in such cases, they often ARE closet liberals or elitists.

I’m not big into the Palin wars, but I do see a great deal of elitism in many of the anti-Palin people around Free Republic. I also have particular distaste for the method this poster used to make his argument. It is sleazy.

I’ve always seen a lot of elitism from Mitt Romney supporters in particular. They think that the conservatives in the party (in their eyes, the riff-raff) should buy Mitt’s BS hook, line, and sinker, while the elites appreciate how ‘nuanced’ and ‘enlightened’ he actually is. The candidate and his supporters are living, breathing insults to the intelligence of conservative voters.

I certainly won’t disagree with you on Romney. There was a thread the other day where Romney gave Massachusetts health care reform an ‘A’. One of his apologists trotted out the usual excuse that Romney’s plan was good before the Democrats in the State House got a hold of it. This despite the fact that the plan Romney was praising was the final product of that tinkering.
