For those who couldn’t get the link to work, Rush basically stated he’s still not sure what all this means (with regard to Palin).
He says he hasn’t heard her say what she plans to do. He thinks she operates outside the box, somewhat like he does, and he doesn’t think this precludes her from pursuing public office in the future if she wants to.
He states that anyone who says otherwise right now is either a beltway pundit who is afraid of her, or is someone trying to make a name for themselves.
This seems to be faithful to as favorable a view of Palin as it could be under the circumstances.
I have state I think she made a big mistake, so he obviously disagrees with me considerably on this issue.
He also said there is no way she can raise money, give speeches or run for office from Alaska. In other words, this is exactly what she needed to do :)
I have not heard anyone say this yet, not sure why but it would be where eshe can do the most good.
A run for president would be exactly what the dems want because they know they would have her media "assasination" assured
Staying on as governor of Alaska fielding endless, inappropriate ethics complaints doesn't do the state of Alaska any good and it doesn't make her in real terms any more qualified to be President.
If she wants to be President, she needs to start now. If she starts now, if certainly is in the best interest of Alaskans that she step down.
Why is the above strategy considered "outside the box"? It seems like common sense to me.
