His friend, Sahel Kazemi, was very close to him on the floor, killed by a single gunshot.

Yeah, I know this story has been posted multiple times, but given the identity of the other victim, I began to wonder......

Murder/suicide or honor killing?

I think they are leaning towards a murder/suicide, but an honor killing is not out of the question.

“Murder/suicide or honor killing?”

I doubt the former. He was shot multiple times.
Found next to each other on the floor...
He’s a big dude. If someone came in to shoot him I can’t imagine him just lying there and taking it.

Not to mention, if it had been an honor killing, she would have been shot several times.

Most times, a multiple stabbing or shooting denotes rage. Natually, I'm speculating, but the woman's surname has the following meaning........

Muslim: from an Arabic name denoting a follower of Mūsā al-Kāzim (died 1183), the seventh imam of the Shiite Muslims, who is revered as a saint. Kāzim means ‘one who controls his anger’.

Ironic last sentence.

He was married w/ 4 kids and she had a boyfriend —she was an employee at Dave & Busters, probably where he met her. They started an affair and he bought her a fancy Escalade and said they’d be together forever. Then he was breaking it off, and she had some complaints about that, and this is what happened.

I am guessing her ex-boyfriend has something to do with it.

I think honor killing is very unlikely. There seems to be plenty of evidence she led a life that was not observant of the muslim religion in every way. Nothing suugests she was at odds with family who surely would have plenty to object about in her lifestyle if indeed they were strict adherents to muslim faith. Also, in honor killings, they usually only kill their family member who they feel has disgraced them, no?

Just curious but why does a married man have a condo with a friend of his?

“Most times, a multiple stabbing or shooting denotes rage...”

True enough. I’m thinking about the issue of them lying next to each other on the floor. If it was range there would have been some running about, flailing about, etc.
Any idea where his wounds were?

He was married with four kids, had lots of money, famous, etc., etc.
Reason?

And of course here in Dallas, you had Dirk Nowitzki dating a felon, looks like he got out of that relationship just in the nick of time.

Kazemi is a Persian name. Not to stereotype, but most Americans of Iranian extraction are quite liberated by Muslim standards.

I just don’t get it. If my husband and I were wealthy I am sure we would own a few residences, god knows I love to travel. But I wouldn’t have a girls place or a guys place, that doesn’t belong in a marriage.

“Most times, a multiple stabbing or shooting denotes rage.”

Or that your target is a really big dude with no neck, whose “center mass” has its own zip code.

Could be jealousy, could be a racial element, could be an honor killing where the girl was given lattitude but just went too far, until something snapped.

Sounds like a rage murder to me, not a murder suicide. If it was a murder suicide, it’s possible that she was the perpetrator, I suppose.
