Can you think of any political consultants who are NOT overrated? It comes with the game. We were certainly better off with him than Bob Shrum. Shrum is likely underrated for his incompetence, since he has never advised a winning Dem campaign (IIRC).
Some of us actually talk with people we disagree with. How about you?
All you worshipers make sure you lock the gate behind you when you follow him in. Sorry, I won't be joining you, my chip has been short circuited.
Agree completely. Things have completely changed and I can feel the energy and excitement surrounding Palin’s announcement. She has totally thrown off the talking heads and it is wigging them out. I, for one, trust her implicitly and am REALLY looking forward to this thing unfolding.
She’s about to hand the libtards a big fat surprise in the next 16 months or so, when she gets behind solid conservatives, draws huge crowds and gets them elected. Then embarks on her own campaign for POTUS in ‘12.
The people on ‘our side’ that are talking negatively about her either really want someone else to be the front runner (Romney) or they are SUCH pathetic creatures of habit that if someone so much as steps off the trail they throw a fit because it doesn’t fit the mold THEY envision. But it sure doesn’t make what she’s doing wrong :)
Yeah, the guy who got us into the Iraq mess with too few troops(along with Rumsfeld)says Palin is wrong. At least he admits she has a “strategy” and understands she isn’t just “quitting”.
Isn’t that sort of like saying the clap is more preferable than herpes? (okay, just a tad over the top ;-) )
Shrum is a real piece of work to be sure. And your right about his record. I would ask you one question for which you may have an answer. If not, it’s okay.
Did Shrum manage one of the two campaigns against Bush? If so, I’ll give the guy credit for almost winning with one of the two biggest political losers our nation has seen.
Evidently mine has too. Good one.
Before I get all upset over this I’ll wait to hear what Rove REALLY said... CNN has been known to once in a while take a slightly biased stance on things and not provide full context.
You better look again. Sarah doesn’t use sound bites. She states what she stands for. Look at what she has done for Alaska. It is plain as day for anyone who wishes to really know what she stands for. You don’t, you just want to attack her and put in a word for Paul.
When God places you on a path . You step off at your own risk. She (Palin) is now on a path. We shall see where it leads.
I think Shrum managed Kerry, but I am willing to be corrected by a Freeper with better recall or more energy to Google the answer.
Actually, the clap is more preferable than herpes. You can never get rid of herpes, just control the outbreaks. My understanding is an academic one, since I have no personal experiences (luckily) in that area.
Most of the people in my profession are lefties. I avoid talking politics with them. My friends tend to be conventionally center-right and I tend to nudge them to the Libertarian right.
I apologize for making fun of you as a person. The combination of your screen name and political persuasion were too good to pass up.
I truly believe that Ron Paul is a kook and suspect that his followers are true believers. At my age, I have little patience for true believers of any ilk. (I’m on the no Kool-Aid diet). Again, sorry for making fun of you.
Thanks for the “clarification”. I was not aware that English is not your first language. It is one of the harder languages to master and I wish you good luck with your efforts.
Only the ones who've never really understood her, Karl, or who never liked her in the first place.
Okay, I’ll admit it, I’m a patriot and I despise any public servant who dishonors their sworn oath to protect and defend our constitution. Oh boy, I’ll be in trouble now for saying that. My understanding for the purpose of the constitutional law is essentially meant to protect this country from those kinds of people. In the true sense of the word “traitor” Carl Rove probably does not fit. However, any public servant who placates to those whose interests are to circumvent that document as well as the will of most true Americans certainly is not a patriot. So in today’s US political world where exactly is the line that defines “traitor”. Not to be haughty, but inherently we know right from wrong, thus it’s what’s right, not who. To anyone with a smidgen of intellect it should be painfully obvious that in order to be successful in DC and for several decades now, the “WHO” takes priority. Anyone who seriously believes that Rove is innocent of placating, as mentioned above, is at least, naive.
Apparently Karl either didn't read or watch her statement, or assumes she's not telling the truth.
If you’re right with regard to Kerry, Shrum didn’t do so bad a job. I am still amazed at how close it was. We’re talking Kerry here.
My point precisely. LOL...
Take care
For the record maybe she doesnt have a strategy.
Hes on TV now because he is a voice of experience and of one sides views, like Snakehead and his wife. He has no idea what Sarah palin is thinking, but they ask his opinion and he gives it based on what he sees.
I believe Rove is a patriot and loves his country as much as you and I, its just that his job and view is much different probably because of time spent inside the arena, not looking in from the outside. Who knows which is the wisest view huh?
